I made two perfumes: one with a musk base, a bit of vanillin, and Hedione, and the other the same but with Iso E Super. Now, after one day, I can still smell the base of the one with just musks, but not the one with Iso E Super. I’ve realized that the perfumes I make with Iso E Super often have much poorer longevity; do you know why?
Do you have a raw material even a diluted one that is so potent you have to keep it away from the others because it escapes the bottle and clings to the other ones? That happens to me with Aldehyde C-12.
When you are creating a perfume and adding ingredients, do you test it on blotters or on skin? For me, the difference between skin and blotters is huge, and I can't tell if a perfume is balanced when I smell it on a blotter.
Is it best to always use new pipettes to avoid cross-contamination? Can they be placed in separate plastic bags? Because it seems to me that they get contaminated even when they are in plastic bags.
hi, I can find the FCF version for bergamot and lime, but not for orange and mandarin, is that normal? Are they used in their pure form in professional perfumes as well?
If the label on the material says "room temperature," will anything happen if I keep it in the fridge? It would be an easy way to save space, since I really don't know where else to put these materials. Would it be okay if I waited about 30 minutes to an hour after taking them out of the fridge before opening them? (I'm not talking about resins or powders.)
sometimes in the dark/semi-darkness, I see a kind of white/orange colored shape that appears for less than 1 second or so, it happens even if I don't move my eyes, does it happen to you too?
Are any of you taking finasteride? Have you noticed a worsening of your symptoms?
