hihi! i’m the person who made the post “i feel like a failure” i wanted to come on here and tell you guys i’ve passed finally!! after i think 3 weeks and 6 fails i’ve finally passed, i don’t know how it happened but i did it, i got a 76 which i needed a 70 to pass so i even got 6 more than i needed right. i didn’t think id ever pass, i thought i would’ve had to keep trying and keep failing. i know it’s embarrassing how many times i tried but i’m just not the best test taker and the constant failing definitely didn’t help. i also think a huge part was brining my wheel of fortune card from my tarot deck since it’s supposed to bring luck which it definitely did haha!!

anyways enough rambling i just wanted to give an update and also bring joy to those who are/were in the same boat as me. thank you again! 🥹🩷

i’m from massachusetts, i’m 19 and i graduated cosmetology school in august. i applied for my boards and finally got accepted last week, i used quizlet and kahoot to study, within those apps i used multiple different practice tests to study (i hope that made sense). i was always bad at taking tests even in school i had an iep but i felt so confident in taking the state board since i knew hair and on monday of this week was when i took my first try at the test. i failed. i got 64 points and i needed at least 70 points to pass. i tried again on wednesday and i got a 67 i was very upset but i reluctantly tried again today and got a whopping 58 i feel like shit to be honest. i’m already feeling like it’s not worth it and i shouldn’t even bother i want to pass so bad because i love doing hair but the universe isn’t letting me.

i hate the fact that they don’t tell me what i got wrong or at least during the test they tell me how many questions im getting right or how many questions need to be right to pass and get at least a 70 because in the end thats all i want. i just want to pass. im pretty much getting the same questions every time, its all multiple choices and its making me overthink what i got wrong or right the first two times.

i’m sorry if this was mostly me ranting but i just needed to vent i want to know if any experienced stylists had to retake their state boards multiple times like me or even what websites you guys used that gave you similar questions to the boards because those quizlets and kahoots i took didnt even have the same questions as the state boards tests i took so it felt pointless. i took the psi state board and again im from massachusetts so i dont know if that helps. im just feeling miserable right now especially because yesterday one of the stylists that i worked with asked if i booked my boards test yet i just lied and said i haven’t heard back from them and i didnt get accepted yet because i dont want to give them false hope so im just keeping this to myself and my mom.

this is a kinda embarrassing question and i don’t know if i’m using the right flair so my apologies. 😭 i’ve been quietly looking through this community and wanted to start getting into manga more specifically yuri but i don’t really know where to start. i don’t mind reading nsfw either, i prefer non angst or doomed yuri so nothing toxic preferably. does anyone have like recommendations for beginner yuri manga, is this a weird question? 😭🩷
