Charmaine Bucco- the real gangster

Telling Carmela she slept with Tony after keeping it a secret for 20 years? That was cold blooded. Joking about FBI agents with the guys at Vesuvio while showing off the goods (looked like the second coming to these guys)? Damn. Even Sil was at a loss. Calling out spot on Artie’s business venture with Jean Phillipe and laughing at his short-sightedness with the hostess? Charmaine is a formidable opponent.

Think Neil Mink would have been indicted for trading Webistics?

I liked that character and thought the actor played a convincing mob attorney. But why would a guy like that stick his neck out to buy Webistics just to end up in the same jail cell as his clients? Wouldn’t it be pretty easy for the feds/SEC to prove that as Tony’s attorney, he was buying/selling with inside info in an inflated stock scam his client was running (which they are adding as RICO predicates for T)? Anyway, it’s not like we haven’t envisioned this day when Webistics sells at $4 a share.

Paulie: what was it barking? Buscemi in Lonesome Dove: what he do aggravate ya?

Buscemi asks why Dee Boot shot this little kid. Basically the same line with the same dark comedic effect. And Tony B said it first. What, you never pondered that? David Chase, screenwriter, whatever happened there…

My Annie girl watching Lonesome Dove in bed bc she’s fascinated by horses

Do y’alls beagles seem to have a long attention span like this? I notice she also does the same with birds in real life- she won’t jump them like she does with squirrels or rabbits, just sits and stares attentively. Like LBJ said, smarter than most humans!

Mikey Palmice in the Big Short?

The fuhk u doin?! I didn’t know he was also a salesman of mortgage backed securities. Actually being a mobster seems like a step up from that.

Names for a Sopranos themed boat?

That’s not the Stugats. And yes I stole this post from the Seinfeld subreddit. I was at the precipice of a great crossroads and I said what I said. Some guy from the r/seinfeld sub crawls out from under a rock somewhere: I’ll deal with Slava, I’ll take the heat, I’ll pay the price.

Alt Sopranos history- Chrissy gets out of rehab and stays off the smack but still drinks. More successful in this thing/not dead?

How would things have turned out different? His total sobriety and commitment to AA is a huge bone of contention between him and the other guys, especially Tony. Then when he falls off the wagon he falls hard. He could have at least sat there and watched the scotch drool down T’s fat f’n face to placate him. We never see Chrissy drunk in earlier seasons, so maybe he could’ve handled a cocktail every now and then. We just know he likes his chemistry set too much (though you know the problem with his mother). Anyway, $4/ one day at a time.

You think Chrissy took revenge on the drug dealers who beat him up and robbed him?

Seems like that would be some point of honor that no one would ever be allowed to get away with jacking up a made guy like that, no matter the circumstances

You realize by the time Caitlin’s outta college it’ll be like the year 2027…

And in a couple three years Davey Scatino is gonna come back as the T-1000 thanks to AI and shit. You never pondered that?

Dr Feldman the wife killer, did he really believe Johnny Sack had 1-3 yrs left?

Or was the good doc just trying to pal up to a famous mobster while he did his time? I mean OJ was no less of a running back right…

I mean come on, what’d you think they were just gonna go toot up a bunch of lines and go bird watching?

Armagnac vs Nonino Picolit (serious drinkers only)

Ever notice when Janush bags on the “histamines” in Armagnac and then asks for a Nonino Picolit, Tony defends Artie’s investment liquor of choice? Then the next scene Artie is drinking at the bar before he gives Jean-Phillipe the ‘scarole he is having Nonino Picolit (like if he has to choose btwn the 2, easy choice right?) Then as Artie’s downing the pills attempting suicide he’s chasing it with Armagnac and he looks disgusted by the taste? This whole sequence has kept me from buying a bottle of Armagnac out of interest from the show for years, and Nonino Picolit is too rich for my blood. Serious drinkers out there wanna chime in? Anyway, It's 51.5 vig-wise and technically you already missed a payment.

“…Ralph, you’ve got to sit him down and level with him- speak the truth, Jan. But with the compassion and respect you’re famous for.” Somewhere Richie Aprile rolling in his grave 💀⚰️

The Boolshit Moozadell ep

Just cuz some JT Dolan wanna be tv writer liked Dragnet or something, we have to see that lame scene of cops speeding up to a pizza joint and threaten the owners with a trumped up “accessory after the fact” to some school vandalism? And then the son knows its Anthony Soprano’s pizza on sight, doesnt want to say, yet gives in and rats him out? Come on…. If it weren’t for Artie rockin out in the front row to the Miami relatives at Ade’s new club, that ep, i putta my footupitsass (compared to the others of course)

When America opened the floodgates and let all us r/thesopranos users in, what do u think they were doing it for? Because they were trying to save us from the gamers? No. they did it bc they needed us to build their subreddits, and their memes making fun of Steve Schirripa. And to make’em richer! Now those other fucks, these quicky G and fat fatty assholes on this site…they’re crooks too, but that’s the business, right? Seen the Sopranos twice, marone! The Reddit way, right? Well, we had the balls to take what we wanted. Some of us dont wanna swarm around their hive. We wanna preserve the things that meant something to us. Honor and family and loyalty. Not asking boolshit questions on a 2nd rewatch! And above all, making fun of Steve Schirripa. I said my piece, Chrissy

Shows T felt real meaning in his friendship with Artie. Who else besides Artie talked back to Tony in every season and got away with it (i mean other than Fielder and that T Rex Carmela)? Who else got invited to come live in that swingin bachelor pad of his recently deceased mother when T and Carm were on the outs? I’ll tell ya who- nobody but Artie! And AJ doesnt count that season, he crashed that party- otherwise that coulda been a whole other spinoff show. Chase’s 20 second pitch to the studio heads-> “Antonio Soprano+Arthur Bucco=true bff’s 4ever, makin cash, cookin hash and crushing ass!”

In the Boca ep at the soccer match, when Tony offers to back him putting money on the street, he asks Artie something like “how’s chef’in at Dimple’s” or something to that effect and Artie makes what I guess is a self-deprecating joke that they have a new chemical they put in the salad bar to keep the lettuce fresh. Salad bar?! Everybody knows Artie would give his own restaurant back to the bank before he turned it into an IHOP. Where was he cooking after the fire/before it opened back up (besides the independent catering gigs we see) and was this the only allusion to having to cook in someone else’s restaurant? Anyway, BRING THE COOKIES!
