(Foundations) - Mgmt acct or financial acc & reporting? Which is easier?
Trying to plan out my last 2 required subjects and want to take the easier of the 2 whilst I’m In busy season at work.
Which is the better option?

So a little over 2 months ago my AdWords account session was hijacked, partly my fault but also a very clever phishing scam which has stung some large agencies managing 100+ accounts and other tech saavy business owner. We’ve completely lost access and support is useless.
Long story short ads contribute 90%+ of my business leads, so you can understand how devastating this has been to our sales funnel. Yes I do get relying on one lead source is dangerous game but I’ve been doing it for 10 years with no issue, until now.
Moral of the story. Make sure you audit all of your passwords, back up your Google authenticators, back up passcodes and do everything possible to secure your accounts - so you don’t end up in a position like me!
So the tldr is my account of 10 years $1M spent got compromised but ultimately un-suspended albeit on READ FUCKING ONLY & Google support is so inept to re-add my admin access.
Only 1 campaign was left running and my card expires on 11/27 so it’s an essentially a ticking time bomb.
Can I create a new account to recreate my campaigns in the interim in hope of recovering my main? (I hope little hope given the current state of “support”)
Unfortunately my business relies on Google ads for 95% of our leads so being locked out for over 2 months has had a huge financial impact on us.
For over 50 days I’ve been trying to get Google to reinstate my admin access (changed to read only in an account hack).
I’m now convinced I’m just emailing AI as they send back cookie cutter responses that go no where.
I have access but can’t do anything but view the account.
Wtaf do I do?
We’ve noticed a decline in revenue correlated to interest rates kicking in a few years ago. Discretionary spend down and our worst few years since we started jn 2016.
At the point we just close up as it’s just not profitable anymore - moreso we just can’t even maintain revenue. People aren’t spending.
Curious what others in this industry are experiencing?
Per title want to upgrade my skills - so much I’m keen to know
A month ago I posted this
https://www.reddit.com/r/adwords/s/zfWqa3hH9w
Since then nothing is resolved and Google just send cookie cutter “our specialists are working on it” emails.
I have one active campaign ticking along but I’m on read only and can’t change ANYTHING - but I need admin back to reactivate and make edits on other campaigns.
What do I even do? I’ve tried emailing, help forum, chat nothing make a difference
:(
Is this usual? Should I wait or contact IT? (FBE)
TLDR:
- Account hijacked but google secured. They removed me as admin and currently there are no admin.
- Submitted compromised account form and still waiting month later despite daily follow up and posting to google help forum as advise by others.
- I believe the security check list is holding up progress but cannot be sure....google offering next to no advice aside from ouyr dedicated team are working on it.
- our account which is 10 years old contniuyes to spend with no way to stop. Cancelling the card would do nothing but get me banned which obviosuly we are trying to avoid.
Any help?
I’ve googled it but wanting to know more about this from someone first hand who has done this.
A one way interview feels creepy as hell fwiw
Has anyone done this?
I’m keen but my only reservation is the time commitment with 3 other subjects going on.
Can anyone who has taken this share insight into this subject and what to expect?
I’m talking mixed lollie selection type milk bar )those who grew up in the 80s know). The type where someone’s watching tv out back and gets up to serve you type establishment.
Would I qualify as a grad if I had completed all units to grant exemptions of CA foundations? (Meaning id be eligible to start CA)
My Bachelor business is too old to apply as grad old but my Master Management (accounting) units, once completed), exempt me from doing foundations.
It means I wouldn’t have to complete a whole unnecessary Masters which would be my preference.
Moreso hoping to land a mid tier offer, not Big 4.
Is there possibility to go straight to junior, BA or similar?
Hi all,
I’m from self employed background (15 years) & have recently gone back to school to persue Masters in (accounting).
Young family, brutal hours plus I am really bored in my current business and wanted a change into business advisory or tax though I’m not completely sure yet.
Any advice for me from similar experiences? I have an internship lined up at mid tier firm which will get some experience. I’m considering trying to get a job 2-3 days in accounting and go part time at university next year.
For a potential full time role post degree am I better of working part time in accounting while studying or knock out the degree by end of 2027.
All advice appreciated
Edit: the time difference in completing degree part time vs full time would be 2 more years vs 1 year.
As the title says I keep seeing near entry level accounting/finance roles requiring CA/CPA.
Is this how cooked the market is or is it normal?
It’s currently a bit ghetto apart from the awesome gum.
What would be a nice ground to plant that will spread with colour or other idea to make it look a bit nicer? Native grasses etc - I have a heap of natives I can propagate from and don’t mind if it takes time.
If the POF threads are anything to go by this could be brutal.
Anyone taken the exam? I’m battling to keep on top of the 103 formulas given & more important when to use each 😫
