A beautiful life lived by a beautiful cat. She lived 16 1/12 years. I have had her since the day she was born, after we rescued her pregnant mom. She has seen me through from first grade to the start of grad school.

For now, she has set off on a new adventure. There’s no way of knowing for sure what she’s up to now, but if you ask me, I think Dolly better get ready to have her hands full.

Every year I teach a week long crochet class as part of a free camp that helps kids discover their talents. Each group has five class sessions total, and the sessions are about 45 minutes. Last year was the first year I had a crew of advanced students that I taught in years passed. They ended up making pillows, which turned out really cool.

This year, I’ll have another class of advanced students. The problem is, I have no idea what to make with them! So I’m turned to Reddit. Do yall any ideas for something that someone at an intermediate level could make in like 3 hours?

All she does nowadays is sleep

For those who don’t know, about three months ago we got the news that Jolene(16) has stage 4 kidney diseases and that she is likely coming to the end of her life. Jolene is my BABY. She was born in our house after we rescued her VERY pregnant mom when I was 7 years old. We grew up together!

When we got the news, we were told we had about three months left with her. She had lost 3 pounds, down to 6.7 ounces. We were told she would only continue to lose weight. Now, three months later she weighs around 7.3 and is eating three times per day!! Her face has started to fill out more. She has begun playing with her sister again which is something she hasn’t done for a while.

She is a fighter that’s for sure. I feel like we have a lot more hope for her than when she was first diagnosed. Thank you everyone for your concern! I will try to continue sharing updates.
