Trying to tailor my cat claw trimming program to each cat’s needs. Haha. For my big orange and white, it works well (well kind of) for me to straddle him (obviously not putting my weight on him) on the floor. He didn’t like it but we got through it. I tried that with my Flamepoint, and he raised such holy hell I thought he’d have a heart attack. Generally my three cats get along well but especially the boys play/fight sometimes and Finny the Flamepoint constantly has scratches around his eyes. (I think everyone has got good at closing their eyes quickly!)

Please no mean comments about what’s wrong with me that I can’t trim a cat’s claws and all of that stuff. I’ve had cats my whole life. It seemed to be easier and I could usually find someone else to hold them while I did it. I’m hesitant to use the towel method because now my orange and white is terrified anytime he sees me walking around with a towel. I have one of those grooming stands and Finny the Flamepoint would certainly fit into the thing. I feel like part of why he freaked out was being restrained. I know he would be in the grooming stand, but at least he wouldn’t be on the floor? Idk.

I also have Feliway diffusers on the regular and sprayed a little extra Feliway before hand.

Hello, this is my flame point Danny. Does anybody else’s Cat love certain plastics and licking them? He doesn’t like what’s on the paper because it’s always different stuff and he loves licking the weatherstripping on Doors as well.

I hope that all of you wonderful people enjoy some pics from Melody’s birthday celebration today. This just proves that he will put up with anything if there’s a little whipped cream involved 🤣 thankfully his tummy tolerates it fine and his vet says it’s okay sometimes. Here’s to many more birthdays my sweet boy!!!

I have had Florence for almost 5 years, and Nieve showed up in our yard one week ago. Florence is 10 years old, and Nieve is 6 weeks. Apparently they fought (hissing and growling from Florence) over the spot between my legs before Florence gave up and slept off to the side. Nieve usually walks away when Florence hisses. We are well on the way to a happy two cat household
