Expensive Paperweight due to faulty power button

I owned this ROG Strix G15 (G513RW) for almost 3 years using it without much issue but now it won't turn on.

Searching the internet I found that shorting pin 5/6 on the keyboard ribbon cable turns on the laptop. I opened it and shorted the pins and it booted up. Someone also suggested testing the keyboard using an online keyboard tester. When I tested it I found that while pressing the power button it register a bunch of random keys pressed together.

Now the real issue is the laptop won't turn off I would shut it down and it would turn on again itself without touching anything I had to disconnect the ribbon cable to stop this from happening.

Since it's way out of its warranty period and I'm too broke to buy a new laptop or desktop, can someone help me what to do.

Replace the keyboard ribbon cable or the entire keyboard top case and is there a way to bypass the power button to turn on the laptop without opening it up and shorting it every single time
