new to the practice. old family book from the mid-late 19th century containing stamps from all over the world and want to protect via insurance. Is a local philatelist my next stop for value determination ahead of including in my home owners insurance coverage?

I have an old family collection of stamps contained in an 1894 edition of Scott’s International Postage Stamp Album. I am new to the practice of stamp management and keeping. an estimate for the collection via the StampValue Stamp Identifier app. I imagine this is wildly variable and inaccurate but would like to understand how to protect these pieces of history. Homeowners insurance?
