Inherited a collection of thousands of stamps. Some seem very old. Where to begin? I may sell some but might also try to organize and catalogue. What’s a good method to start sorting them out? Any resources for “how to stamp collect?” There are so many more than this.

My grandfather was an avid collector of Dutch and German stamps. I have his collection entailing hundreds of years of mint. I would like to start a history meuseum guided by the stamps. One small example below. Thoughts?

I found many used stamps from many countries, including many from (colonial) Africa. For example, from the former Belgian Congo (33 different ones, with some duplicates, bringing the total to 57 stamps). In addition, there are 7 different ones from right after independence. Any value?

Where to start? Family member asked me to try and price/sell about 250 stamps. Totally new to this. Trying out this this “PhilSnap” app, but I don’t know if I trust the prices. Any apps or sites I should get started on? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The most interesting of inherited collection so far according to Claude- do you agree? Anything worthwhile here? (First zoomed out and the others zoomed in)
