I’m not here to shop for medical advice online. I’ll make an appointment with my doctor. Has anyone else who’s been using Keens for a long time noticing any kind of rash or irritation? Mine is right around where the toggle is on the top of the shoe. I first thought (and it could still be. I need to check with the doctor.) that perhaps I was getting a bug bite at the top of my shoe and it was just spreading aggravated where there is contact with material. That said it’s happening on the pattern of the top of the keen, hybrid sneaker sandals.
So all I’m asking is has anyone else experienced that recently? i’ve been using this brand in this kind of hybrid waterproof sneaker sandal for almost 25 years and they’ve always been a great supportive, non-irritating, long lasting shoe. i’m wondering if there’s a new material at the top of the shoe or adhesive or something.
Again, I will check with my doctor.
I noticed the very reasonably priced sterling set portrait cut rings, and wondered about using that with creating a tiny painting to be set under that. I looked up the cut and read that’s why the cut was originally designed for.
From what I understand, Kuololit does custom work in gold but not the sterling silver. I’m generally a sterling price range, a bit more for custom work, but gold prices are generally beyond me.
If I ordered a ring with a portrait cut and designed a micro painting with archival pigments (need to figure out what paint but I’m guessing acrylic ink as it’s great for very tiny detail work without texture—I used to make elaborately detailed images on less than an inch square with clarity) would it be possible to have someone local to create a base (I’d assume sterling) to set it under and attach to the kuololit ring? Or is that overcomplicating things and I should just get a portrait cut gemstone and then work from that with a custom jeweler willing to work in sterling near me? If the latter do you know if Kuololit would sell a portrait cut moissanite sans ring?
Just spitballing this idea here, interested in what other people would think or have if they have better ideas/materials on how to do something like that.
I’ve been going to Alamos for decades, first in Austin, later when they opened in the DC metro area. Never had an issue with the close out, it was done quietly during the film with the processed tab slipped to me quietly & unobtrusively to sign/pay or with less fuss after the film was over.
I provided my phone tap for the tab after I ordered, before the film started. Right at the very final scene—-the waiter comes to me kneeling in front of my seat very clearly wanting my attention, seeking eye contact, whispering to me, needing me to tap my phone again. His whole vibe was this was URGENT and so I did. He gave me my copies to sign, leaves, and I turn back to the film and I completely missed the final scene- I did not glance nor took in any dialogue/narration. Film ended.
From what I currently see on my apple pay, there’s one pending tab for a penny, and another for the completed tab. Not sure if he did the second tap because of some issue tech or otherwise on his end, but hey—couldn’t he at the least returned like just two minutes later so he could get all that sorted without pulling me from the film? First world (for now) problems but that really annoyed me. Maybe the guy was new & did not have the whole alamo routine down? Was he afraid/did he experience dine & dashers?
All prior times I used a physical card or paid cash. Is this the new normal for using a digital wallet?
I did tip (not as much as my usual which but no dickish “learn your lesson” paltry crap, just meh-average) but I wrote him a note on the flip to please do something different if there’s an issue -that’s not the normal experience, and I missed out on the end, thanks.
Hopefully that’s a one off and not a training issue.
I run my own business so I have to screen unfamiliar numbers time to time and fairly often they’re legit, asking for my services..
That said, when you get a voice message from a “legal office”, in a thick foreign accent that completely mangles your name to comedic effect (I wish I could share that but yeah..no) asking you to call back to confirm your identity for legal papers to be served, and there’s a rooster screaming from that office three times within that one minute message…. You should probably be suspicious.
I am not going to describe the issue in detail right now because I’m hoping they will resolve it and I will not have to make a post about it, and can be one of many happy customers. I really do not want to get the WhatsApp app, but I will if that’s really my best bet. Thanks for any help.
