Thoughts and questions after the first few days

The Scribe is pretty! The addition of color and a light is fantastic. (I come from from a world of having used a reMarkable 2 for quite a few years, usually as a notetaking device at work instead of the immense spiral notebooks that I used to use.)

  • The ability to import from Google Drive is fantastic.

  • File handling within Workspace seems terrible. I meant to put ten related files in their own folder to reduce clutter, but I can't figure out how to select more than one at a time.

  • There's no native .cbz reader, but I haven't had that since the Nook HD+.

  • A page seems to be a page, with no ability to keep scrolling down. That's both good and bad: important details can't hide further down, but it also means that sequential pages will be related and I'll need some way to distinguish entries.

  • Adding a page to the end of a Notebook is just as easy as it was.

  • Inserting a new page after the current non-last page seems much more involved.

  • I am used to the select feature only grabbing strokes completely within my selection area and ignoring anything that continues outside that area. Not so much anymore, have to be VERY careful in the selection.

  • Moving a selected area seems more cumbersome.

  • Undo and redo seem to require the onscreen buttons instead of also being able to tap with two fingers or three, respectively.

  • Being able to access my Kindle library is wonderful. This may supplant my Paperwhite.

  • I'm looking forward to annotating PDFs in color instead of greyscale writing on a greyscale PDF.

  • Response time is GOOD, compared to both the reMarkable 2 and the Paperwhite.
