Anyone else feel like Dimaggio's quieter moments as Marcus are underrated?

Anyone else feel like Dimaggio's quieter moments as Marcus are underrated?

In particular the end of Dom's death cutscene and just how defeated Marcus sounds at the end of Gears of War 3.

Also on a similar note, the fact that there wasn't a moment like that after Cole was defeated by that Swarm monster in Gears 5 made me immediately guess that the cutscene would be a fakeout death.

Do either of the new era novels mention this elephant in the room?

As far as the games are concerned, Marcus is presumably homeless right?

Do we have an ETA for when the app is going to be fixed?

I've not tried listening to anything yet but so far my glitches/errors include not updating the 'purchased' list and being unable to download preexisting purchases.

Why was the Master so vague when using the Heavenly Paradigm?

So in the first War Master boxset, the Master uses it in a failed attempt to end the Time War and... just makes everything worse by sending it out across the entirety of space/time. So why not at least exclude the Daleks from the parameters he set up?

Anyone else feel like there should've been a more triumphant equivalent to An End Once And For All?

Specifically for the good versions of the endings.

It obviously makes sense for it to be somber for the versions where EVERYTHING gets devastated but if the player has enough War Assets for the 'Shepard Lives' version of the Destroy Ending then no matter what they pick (excluding Refusal where the music doesn't play anyway) then the on screen result is what Shepard/the player has been working towards for the majority of the Trilogy: stopping the Reapers. Even though each endings has its drawbacks (both referenced in game and theorised by fans) the only one we SEE on screen is Shepard's sacrifice so it's not like a more triumphant track would contrast what appears in the cutscenes.

Which story/trailer is this quote from?

I've seen it as a gif but it doesn't seem to be from any of his Dark Eyes stories (at least not featured in any of the trailers) nor is it from The Two Masters.

So what caused the 'Judgment' mindset and how widespread was it within COG leadership?

It's always felt odd given how E Day was only a few weeks before the battle of Halvo Bay and the Locust were able to coordinate a full scale invasion against most if not all cities on the planet simultaneously and cause billions of Human casualties within a single day. Then within a year, Prescott believed that the situation is so hopeless that widescale Hammer of Dawn Strikes were the only practical option of preventing or at least delaying Humanity's extinction.

If the Master took the Doctor's places in The Five Doctors, which combination of incarnations would have the best chance of making it to the Dark Tower?

I'm guessing this is referencing the Kryll.

Also sorry if it's difficult to make out what's being said, for some reason the game's subtitle system doesn't pick up dialogue like this.

Do we know which fleet Tali and her father commanded as Admiral?

For some reason in Mass Effect 3, Shepard can only ask Raan about 4 Fleets in the Flotilla: Heavy (led by Garrel), Patrol (led by Raan), Civilian (led by Koris) and Special Projects (led by Xen) but nothing is ever mentioned about what the 5th Admiral oversees. At least with Tali it's a case that it's a formality to give her the authority that fits her knowledge about the Geth but in Mass Effect 2 it seems somewhat redundant because her father seems to oversee the same type of fleet operations as Xen.

How do you feel about the choice to reject the Virmire Survivor as a squadmate?

Personally I wish that turning down the Virmire Survivor's request to return didn't lock the player out of their Citadel/Earth interactions - at least I think it locks you out of it - as their lore between the games show that they're worthy of their own command (something that you could argue Shepard believes if that decision is chosen) and an ongoing/consistent aspect of returning squadmates is how while everyone has a part to play in defeating the Reapers, that part just isn't necessarily with Shepard.

From that perspective, the Virmire Survivor can do much more for the war effort with Hackett's offer than with Shepard (although at least I get occasional use with Kaidan whereas Ashley's main contributions to my ME3 playthroughs is getting drunk for comedic effect).

I know it's a general (and annoying) villain trope but did anyone get reminded of this moment specifically at the start of the Mando film?

Is the stormy weather from Priority: Earth caused by the Reaper conduit or is it just typical British weather?

(This is partially humour based since it's pretty clear that it's interacting with the beam in some way and I think the clouds start clearing after the pair of random NPCs get saved in the last cutscene).

Is 'Biotic Protector' even remotely useful?

Across my various playthroughs it has felt completely useless and like it's a waste of points.

Could the Shadow Broker have fled to his homeworld to escape the Reapers?

After the boss fight, Liara mentions something about the Shadow Broker looking for more Prothean intel that could be used against the Reapers as a way to survive. However, his overall species is pre spaceflight and are mentioned as being avoided by the Reapers later on. I'm guessing that the main reason it wouldn't work would be because the Shadow Broker had spoken to the Collectors in person and therefore the Reapers would know which species to target if he suddenly disappeared from the Galaxy with no explanation.
