I’ve created a Garmin app to download and listen to my ABS audiobooks when I’m on my runs.

I’d like to know if there’d be interest in this community if I make it available in the Garmin IQ store. Also, what sort of price you’d pay for it.

Caveat: you’d need to run a seperate service on your ABS server as a docker container which acts as a transcoder to chunk the downloads of the large audiobook files to fit with Garmin’s in-app downloads policy.

I’m wondering if I’m alone here:

1. Reverse camera at night time not bright enough, can’t see anything.
2. Steering assist - quite often says “put your hand back on the steering wheel” even though they are.
3. Windscreen wipers bounce over the windscreen sometimes instead of smoothly wiping.
4. Reverse auto brake sometimes overzealous, sometimes doesn’t work at all.
5. Often the car doesn’t unlock when using my phone as a key. I have to get the app out and unlock it through the app manually.
6. Cruise control - if I set it to 60 I expect it to stay at 60, not speed up to 68 on the smallest on inclines.
7. AAOS - why are there so few apps? Are the ones that are there a poor versions of their original apps like Spotify.

These all mostly seem like software fixes, except maybe the reverse camera and wipers. Is anyone else experiencing these things and are able to do anything about it?

I’ve managed to fork the ABS repo and recreate it to work in AAOS.

Are there any restrictions to publish this on the App Store? I’ve not changed anything really in the app itself, just fixed to work within the bounds of AAOS.
