Random theory about the Symbiote causing Peter to mutate (Writing ts bc I'm bored and it been in my mind for weeks may not be fully correct but hey ho)
So this has been on my mind for ages so ima just get it out and see how it does ig. I cba to go into how this will impact spiderman BND but yeah I'm js trying to prove the Symbiote is making him mutate.
So basically my first point is that we have 2 post credit scenes that link the Symbiote to Peter the first being in Venom Let There Be Carnage where we see Venom is pretty interested in Peter Parker and then Spider Man No Way Home where we see venom leave a drop of himself in the MCU. So yeah basically the timing just makes sense. So like maybe that blob just has it in its conscious to find Peter Parker.
Second is that in the BND trailer we see Peters eyes go completely black when in near death situations such as Scorpions tail like inches from his face or a Ninja from The Hand about to hit him with a Katana. What I caught onto is that when his eyes go black he gains a lot of strength and stops holding back because he manhandles scorpion even flipping a cop car in the process and also shatters the Katana of The Hand. So this could be the Symbiote protecting the host (Peter) from dying because if Peter dies it dies.
Third so basically this one may be a stretch but it makes way too much sense to me so I'm including it. So because the droplet of Symbiote that may be inside Peter is from the Venom from Earth 688 and not 616 it is a foreign Symbiote. So like what if this means the Symbiote runs into complications during bonding due to universes having different laws (i dunno how true this is it just makes sense to me). So therefore the Symbiote needs to MUTATE it's host (in this case Peter) to survive inside the host.
Next about the mind controlling villain person from the trailer who I'm like 99% sure is Jean Grey. We know Peter is immune to the mind control which must mean either Jean is doing it on purpose or something is stopping her from taking control of him possibly a dual consciousness dual to the symbiote. So the Symbiote is preventing Jean from taking control of Peter because it is already sort of in control. AND in the BND trailer we see that Jean is controlling a random citizen and they say "Hey Spiderman, got rid of that monster inside of you?". I really can't think of much else Jean could mean by that other than the Symbiote (Venom).
I have also thought of a way this could lead to secret wars in some way or at least from spidermans POV. So like imagine the Symbiote doesn't show itself at all during the movie other than like the mutating DNA and lashouts Peter has. Imagine at the end Peter dies and then like Hulk finished the final villain off. Then Peter is buried as spiderman and not Peter Parker because Peter Parker doesn't exist and then the post credit scene is Peters grave with rumbling and stuff beneath it and then Peter emerges with the black suit just like in the Kravens Last Hunt comic and then it cuts to "Spiderman will return in Avengers Secret Wars". This is just my own little spin on it because like they're recreating a bunch of comic panels within the movie and I just thought this would be cool and in the comics Peter first gets the Symbiote suit in secret wars so it would be a cool way to introduce this.
Thats about it, it's my first post so I dunno exactly if I done a good job or not. Please correct me if anything I've said is false or something. Personally I don't think they'll of the Symbiote route because there is also a lot in the trailer that points away from it but still if they do the Symbiote route I hope it is something like what I've said above. Feel free to point out any holes in the theory or something I dunno I've talked enough bye 😭
