3rd breaking of the Pretoria agreement

https://addisstandard.com/tigray-pre-war-council-elect-president-suspends-may-june-salaries-amid-move-to-centralize-payroll-system/

I guess now we can add to the list of things that Abiy has done to break the Pretoria agreement.

"Interim Admin President Lt. Gen. Tadesse Worede warned that a freeze in federal budget transfers had left the administration unable to pay civil servants or maintain essential services, while banks in the region were facing severe cash shortages. He said the budget support had not been transferred for two consecutive months and warned that the growing economic pressure was threatening the fragile peace established after the Pretoria agreement."

When Tadesse Worede was in office, Abiy was still holding off money for two consecutive months, which he couldn't do. And now, under Debretsion, Abiy still won't send the necessary funds to Tigray like the Pretoria agreement was intended to do. When I say that Abiy constantly antagonizes, starves out, and does everything in his power to dismantle Tigray, I mean it. Yet when these unstable circumstances occur, it breeds into a war since nobody wants to be starving out, broke, and unstable, yet PP cadres will play victim and say oh but TPLF shot the first bullet. We now have 3 things PP has broken in the Pretoria agreement (Giving away Western Tigray, Tadesse Worede extending his position, and withholding funds from Tigray). Debretsion has to now temporarily suspend finances to figure out a way to budget Tigray with the finances that he currently has; it's unfair. I agree with centralizing the payroll system so that we can figure out how Tigray can survive with the money they currently have.

Hi guys,

I feel like I have finished yapping about why Menelik sucks in the other posts and today, I would like to focus on the current times of Tigray.

- https://martinplaut.com/2025/08/02/the-ximdo-gamble-tplf-eritrea-alliance-and-the-fragile-peace-in-tigray-and-the-horn-of-africa/ On one side, we have Ximdo near Tigray in Sudan. A mix between TPLF, Shabiya, and SAF.

- https://addisstandard.com/news-pm-abiy-appoints-getachew-reda-head-of-tirgay-interim-admin/The Tigray Interim Regional Administration, with its leader Getachew Reda, and notiably Tadesse Worede https://africa.dailynewsegypt.com/tplf-presses-tadesse-worede-to-step-down-amid-escalating-tigray-power-struggle/

Then we have the TPLF - I think everyone knows them, but it is run under by Debretsion Gebremichael

Then we have the infamous Pretoria Agreement, and you can add in the western Tigray issue- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethiopia%E2%80%93Tigray_peace_agreement#:~:text=The%20Ethiopia%E2%80%93Tigray%20peace%20agreement,to%20a%20%22permanent%20cessation%20of , https://www.thereporterethiopia.com/50473/

So, it appears that war is inevitable, as sad as it is to say that, food, and oil. Basic needs are being neglected in Tigray, which will result in them being desperate enough to wage war. As of course, we all need the basics of housing, food and water to live, it is an evil tactic that the government and governments before this, like DERG and Haile Selassie, have done to Tigrayans.

Now, it appears that what Abiy is trying to do is make the Tigray Interim Regional Administration essentially take over Tigray instead of the TPLF, and slowly but surely weed them out, or have it where TPLF attacks the Tigray Interim Regional Administration while they break rules like having Tadesse Worede extend his position, which isn't allowed, to slowly control Tigray, instead of the TPLF. It is also laughable that Abiy's government is trying to paint the TPLF as the ones breaking the Pretoria agreement, but honestly, I don't need to explain that one lol.

If we are being realistic, what does Tigray want, would it prefer that TPLF take out this temporary government and have the older TPLF government, or are they in support of the Tigray Interim Regional Administration. IMO, the TPLF was voted in by Tigray, so they are the only ones who are allowed, but the Tigray Interim Regional Administration just doesn't want them to lead and is willing to even break the rules. When I say this, I am talking about this - https://africa.dailynewsegypt.com/tplf-presses-tadesse-worede-to-step-down-amid-escalating-tigray-power-struggle/ . Do you guys agree with Tadesse Worede getting a one-year extension, I don't but I would love to hear other people's reasons.

Western Tigray, it appears that Abiy is considering giving it all to the Amhara as a resolution and a way for them to sort of like him I guess, now idk if it will work or if they would take it, but it wouldn't be the first time a Menelik-level trickery has happened to us by them loll. With the Tigray Interim Regional Administration, I just don't see them ever getting Western Tigray because the very person that they work for (Abiy) is giving it away to Amharas, which only gives more support to the TPLF from other Tigrayans.

Elections are on June 1st, I REALLY WONDER WHO WILL WIN?????????

When the Elections end, would that be the time war begins, who do you support, and what do you want Tigray to become, independent or a part of Shitopia?

I also want to ask, will there ever be a time when TPLF can co-exist with the current Ethiopian government, or does that sound impossible and if so, then would one of them have to go?

I am an individual who is pro-independence, but what do you guys think?
