After 6 weeks of solo picking, my usual spot has been discovered 😱
Swung by quickly on the weekend. Was excited for a big haul after the rains but arrived to find lots of exposed mycelium and discarded shrooms. It was a spot visible from the road so it was bound to happen...
Still some pickings to be had with rather handsome shrooms
Friends came picking this week!
Was teaching one of the new guys how to identify and pick em. Not to grab or trample the pins. They ate a few of em raw on the spot 😳
The usual spot was flush with shrooms though quite a few past their prime. Tons of pins coming up. Was impossible to avoid stepping on a couple 🙃
Hoping for more after this week's rains 🙏🌧️
Dried in an air fryer with dehydrate function (40°C for 7 hours)
Yield 264g wet 39g dry

My usual patch had a few clusters this weekend. Very cool to finally see some in person
I shook my bag while walking around in an attempt to help spread spores. Unfortunately, this ended up damaging and bruising a lot of the shrooms. I normally like to inspect and admire them when I get home but they were looking really sad

Need some advice on a couple of shrooms
Pic 1 shows a mushroom that's a little dried out. Would it still be fine?
Pic 2's mushroom has white stuff on the edge of the cap that doesn't come off when rubbed. Any advice on what it might be and whether it's safe or not?

The temperatures have finally dropped with a lot of rain over the week
My regular patch had a lot of old and rotted mushrooms. Thursday might have been good to check
Total pick was 83 grams fresh. Waiting for spore prints overnight before dehydrating
