Chili Rasbora has yellow spot/shade in the middle of their body?

Hi this is my first time having Chilis there's a yellow shade or spot in the middle of my chili rasboras. I was wondering if this is a disease, parasites or maybe just from eating algae maybe?

Ive been checking Chili Post here it seems like its common?

Just wanna male sure

Honey gourami attacking all of its tank mates

I got my honey gourami since it was an inch or less, he grew upto a point i can tell he's male

The thing is he became really territorial i can no longer see any shrimps during daytime and they're fully nocturnal scavengers because of him i bought some chili rasboras as that was always the plan.

Will this dude mellow out eventually? Or am i stuck with ahole Gourami ?

Also is it possible to gender at this size?

The lsf said theyll try to gender, I asked for a male if possible

Monte carlo Carpet problems from Micro Fauna

Monte carlo Carpet problems from Micro Fauna

Another day, another problem for my first 15 gallon tank!

I DSMd a Montecarlo carpet for 6 weeks before i flooded also about 6 weeks ago. Flooding resulted to patches of montecarlo dying especially underneath all the new growth. Which id to be expected from what i read

I recently got a microfauna(ostracods and copepods) explosion from the dying algae after my tank normalized but now they turned their attention to all the dead carpet underneath the growing new carpet and its causing parts of the carpet to uproot! I can see the dead carpet material thining from their grazing and i think some of the new growth are anchored to it which causing them to uproot

Should I do something? Should I let them be and just work with whatever is left?
