AIO, future bil is now having his wedding same day as ours
I know this isn’t a really big deal but it’s just aggravating me. My fiance and I got engaged almost 2 years ago, life got in the way and we finally started wedding planning last year. Our wedding is sept 4 2027 which is a special day to us because it’s the same date he proposed. We told his family and everyone is excited. 2 months ago my future BIL announced that he’s getting married to his girlfriend of a 8 months. They had not landed on a date and were just in the planning phase. Once my MIL found out she started rushing them and now they’ve also decided to get married sept 4 2026. I know this is not a big deal but I can’t help that it bothers me so much. MIL has been rushing my fiance and I to flout get the wedding over and done with but in my culture weddings are a really really big deal and it involves a lot and can take multiple days tbh. I just feel like MIL did it on purpose or maybe I’m looking too much into it. Fiance is also upset at the date they chose because wth? So Reddit, AIO?
