Can we put this to bed?

There doesn’t seem to be a week that goes by where someone doesn’t say that blink played fast on the Untitled tour because they ‘hated each others’ guts’. I’ve been a fan of the band since 2002, and can honestly say I’ve NEVER read anything by the band themselves that remotely suggests they wanted to just play quickly and get off the stage. Mark has said tensions in the band did not impact live shows (obviously discounting Dublin). I think - for Tom especially - following Boxcar it was important to present blink as a band with edge, raw, punk at heart. If you watch their performances at this time, they’re a tight live band - the transitions, the improvisation. They chose to play quickly not because they were sloppy or hated each other, or because they couldn’t keep time. It was a stylistic choice.

If anyone has any evidence to the contrary - actual quotes from the band - can we share them. Otherwise, can we put this myth to bed, as it discredits what is arguably the peak of their live career.
