Seeking to re-learn D&D as a gate way to other games and eventual DMing.
Hey folks! I am looking to get reacquainted with TTRPGs after awhile away from the game. I last played over 10 years ago and would love to start again. I prefer to basically start from scratch. I have seen a few folks holding new player one shots, but they seemed to be one off that I only find out about the day before, so hard to make time for when I can't plan ahead. Are there any regularly scheduled new player one shots you can recommend? I am keeping my eye out on local Meetup and Facebook groups, so I am sure I will find one eventually, but I welcome recommendations.
Bonus points if the DM/GM would be willing to teach a little DMing as it is something that greatly interests me as well. I love gaming and teaching folks how to play and holding events. I do something very similar for MTG currently and really enjoy it.
Any help is welcome and hope to see ya'll at the tabletop soon!
