My son is a 29 who just finished freshman season rolling into his club season. There are a few local (NJ/PA) colleges offering showcase events this summer. He has never attended them before, and these are pay to play.

Question is are they worth it from an exposure to the college level at all or is this a glorified summer camp situation?

He hopes to play in college, but isn’t set on what school or degree he’s going for.
