I've been ASM for about a month now. I still love my job but I am so sick of lazy employees. The ones who will have zero customers in the store and they stand behind register scrolling their phones. Or when I come in at 6am and I'm stocking coffee, polar pop, amd mopping the floors because somehow they couldn't find the time. Thankfully my SM is letting me hire 3 new people and once they are trained I'm cutting the bad workers down to 4 hours a week. That being said I really try to show my appreciation to my good workers. I buy them food if they are hungry. I bring donuts on the weekend. I bring pasta salad or chicken alfredo from home to give them home cooked meals. I give them free rides to or from work if they need it. Last week I gave all 3 of them $10 and an infused joint (legal state, obviously not to be smoked at work).. I need more ideas on little bonuses for my good employees that isn't going to make me poor LOL. I know they genuinely appreciate what I do for them but there's got to be a cheaper way to make them happy. Hit me with some ideas please. Thank you!!

Yesterday my promotion to ASM officially hit. Got my credentials for CK, got my own email, the passwork to the internet. Did paperwork, counted the safe, did my audits, activated lottery books. Definitely feel confident about the position and know the more I do it the better I'll be it's all about routine. That being said my SM told me to set up interviews before he left Friday for an extended weekend. I don't want to bug him so can somebody tell me where I'll find pending applications? I know everybody we hire has to start with the basic application and we were already short staffed and had a no call no show this morning.
