I had a heck of a time trying to add a transfer print onto a bombe chest. I actually chalk pained it first, and let is sit for a day. I applied the transfer, and rubbed it with the stick that comes in the Redesign tube, and the print just wouldn’t transfer. So I decided to try fiber paper / rice paper instead and it bubbled up so badly that I removed it.
How do you transfer a print onto the front of a bombe chest without ruining the design? Also, why did rice paper turn out so bad on this piece? Attached is a picture of the before. I am pretty certain that this is veneer.
