Making new cupboard doors as part of a kitchen renovation

I hated these old doors so have made modern style new doors for all cupboards. It’s really bought the room up to date.

I’ve used 18mm moisture resistance MDF.

I cut to near finished size then used a trim router to get exact size to the old doors.

Wrapped in the midnight blue D-C Fix vinyl. It goes on well. May not be durable but if it starts to fail I will spray the doors at a future point.

Replaced all hardware for new and soft close.

This is the last big job of the kitchen before a full reveal.

I build a little house for my fridge

Next part of the kitchen renovation complete (almost)
I decided to enclose the fridge for a couple of reasons.

Mainly to give more of a bespoke look to the kitchen. I am trying to create a high end fitted look on a tight budget.

Also this area of the kitchen is the only place it will fit but as all the walls were out it always looked out of place.

I also need somewhere for the thermostat and wiring for the underfloor heating to run. So it gave me a place for that.

Finally, the headroom / storage it’s created above the fridge. An ideal place for those kitchen items you only use once in a blue moon.

So I framed in with 2x1. Correcting imperfections in the walls. Then clad in 18mm MDF. Again I’ve wrapped - see my other posts - and overall I’m really happy.

There is plenty of airflow and clearance around the fridge. With hidden vents.

Tidying up an eyesore

As part of an ongoing kitchen renovation project. Finally finished the self built boiler cover.
Framed and clad in MDF then wrapped. Looks so much better. Also fixed the ceiling where we had a pipe burst
