First Impressions for 3 New Villains

Ernesto De La Cruz - Amazing. Very thematic, very unique, and very fun to play as. He can win crazy fast if not fated quickly and frequently.

Hans - Better than I expected. I think he has way too many steps to be able to win quickly, and his fate deck is also really cumbersome. But if you get card draw lucky you can be in good shape. Also why does he have no quote?!?!?

Sanderson Sisters - Hugely disappointed. They are insanely cumbersome to play as, complicated without being fun. They have too many restrictions to be viable, its minimum 7 turns to win even if you get the perfect cards at the perfect time and nobody fates you, otherwise its 10+. If they could do multiple ingredients in the same turn, or in any order, or vanquish with the life potion without requiring all 3 to be at the same spot, it would be better. But very thematic.

New World Schools Resource: Framing, Interpreting, and Analyzing Motions Video Part 1

I just posted two new videos to my YouTube channel related to analyzing, framing, and interpreting motions in world schools debate. This is a 2 part series, and the first part covers the fundamentals of motion analysis, while the second covers advanced techniques.

The first video discusses what a motion is, defining "This House", the parts/anatomy of a motion, the various types of motions, the 8 steps of analyzing/framing a motion, the 16 most common motion main subject categories, and 5 practice activities for improving at motion framing and analysis.

The second video dives deep into the 6 main kinds of motions: TH would, TH as [Actor] would, TH believes, TH supports, TH regrets, and TH prefers.

Please check them out and share it with your debaters, students, and coaches if you find it helpful! https://youtu.be/APkTbhRmb88 https://youtu.be/4iUmlWNYOek?si=BfYhBYoVXfMqNCfq
