Today has been a good day!!

Come back to this game every couple weeks, just to make more progress on the perfect Pokédex (not far off now) and in between I like to do a few shiny hunts when I find alpha mass outbreaks that I fancy hunting. Managed to get the Roserade this morning after about 15 resets!

then, this evening, in a mass outbreak in the coronet highlands, the first outbreak I go to is a heracross which happens to have the alpha spawn after, the last alpha heracross is shiny!

Then I find a Geodude to Graveler spawn so decide to try for the Graveler, only manage to get it on the 5th reset!

Think I’ve just about used up my luck for this week! 🤣🤣

My entire middle Earth collection

Considering I started back after a 16 year hiatus in Feb 2024, where I still had my old modes from back in the day, I don’t think my collection is too bad! 😅I began with lots of Uruk hai of different types and some of the heroes with a ballista, most of the old Easterling stuff (I left the game just after Amdur was a thing), the old Balins tomb set, a fell beast, a dragon, two mumaks, a single box of army of the dead and last alliance, my collection has grown significantly in the last two years 😁

At my last count, I think this was about 1399 models, 845 of which are painted, and less than that are based. And while I’ve gotten better at painting and basing, there is still lots of room for improvement!

In terms of what I’ve learned and played, I’ll list a few of my bests and worsts.

Favourite armies - Garrison of Dale, Lurtz scouts, Last Alliance
Best performing army - Lurtz scouts
Favourite army to paint - Khazad Dum
Paint job in most proud of - Mumak number 1
Least favourite army to paint - anything with too many faces, I hate painting faces.
Next army to paint - black gate or Arnor

Took me just under two days to get all of these out, whilst entertaining a toddler 🤣but to say I’m a fan of the game is an understatement I think 😁

Hope you’re all enjoying the game as much as I am, would love to see others collections too!!

More cheap cardboard terrain!

Gotta thank you all for the positive reaction to my last pieces of terrain I made, lots of positive comments! Decided to do something a bit different with this one, make use of a leap test for MESBG and lots of climbing whilst also having a way up without it! Same process as last time, but with a different type of cardboard that’s more layered and thicker!

Really pleased with how this looks, and hopefully it’ll go well with the other stuff I’ve made and what I make in future! Any ideas for other layouts I could do to add a bit of variety? Thanks 😁

Felt that the games I’ve played recently have been a bit too linear, so decided to try and make something that might add some height! Pretty pleased with how they turned out! Will probably add more soon! May have over done the grass but still does the job! Made wit MESBG in mind, probably wouldn’t support a metal dragon but would easily hold a bunch of infantry!

Took some inspiration from an old post on this subreddit to make some cardboard hills and rock formations! Was dead simple, used some cardboard to make the basic shape, watered down pva and toilet paper for the base cover, covered it in pva and a bit of sand on the bits I wanted sandy and then a black base coat, then painted grey, and grassed on the bits that felt right plus some bushes!

May have put too much grass on the bottom of the smaller hill but it still does the job. Felt like my games were missing a bit of height and they all feel a bit too linear at the minute so hopefully this might help! Will see how they go tomorrow!
