I have his C1, which gives that free special charged attack/skill that does double the normal damage right from the get go.
From what I understand about the C6 (the free skill after the charged attack or free charged attack after the skill), will the C1 only buff the first charged attack/skill you use and not the free one you get after? That's how I read it.
And if so, is it best to use his first charge on the charged attack rather than the skill? I'm planning to get his C6 next rerun.
Builds at the end but just in case: C5R1 Varka, C0 Venti with fav, C6 Bennett with Aquila and C0 Nicole with Citlali's weapon.
At long last, a new source of res based flat DR that isn't Laguz Friend. It took almost 60 pulls to get a second copy of Bride Ash/Melíai so I could fodder the second one to him.
Weapon: Blessed Aureola
Still using this of course, though it doesn't have as many effects as modern weapons, the stats, flat DR and true damage are still impressive.
Assist: Reposition
Ol' reliable.
Special: Comet
Unconditional first hit DR is still valuable. Better than Ice Wall, especially without Laguz Friend anymore.
A skill: Beyond Reason
Honestly the most valuable thing out of this skill are the visible stats it gives. And it still gives in combat stats on top of that. And now that he is no longer running Laguz Friend, the piercable DR can be relevant in some situations. Every enemy has +15 to all stats in their weapon these days and easy sources of potent follow up. So he gets doubled often. 80% piercable DR is no slouch.
B skill: Atk/Res Unrest
The new B skill introduced by legendary Lyon and on also on Bride Ash/Melíai. Unconditional true damage and flat DR that is resistance based. Athos easily gets over 100 res in combat, so it's quite a lot. On top of that, a global stat debuff and anti healing to anyone with less res than him (which is everyone) is the cherry on top.
C skill: Instruct 4
His high stats means he can buff atk, res and, a lot of the time, def. Just not speed. And great talent to allies means more stats for himself.
Seal: Close Transcend
He's a PvE God with this skill and surprisingly dangerous in AR defense.
Emblem Ring: Lyn's
Gives him some threat range.
I'd say the weakness of this build is still similar to when he was first released. He is all dependent on one hit. So many units have crazy first hit DR that he can miss those kills. Atk/Res Unrest is helping a little, he's not as reliant on his special proc now. And like most units, he has crazy first hit DR, but not follow up DR. Honestly, I'm considering trying Ice Wall with this build and spreading the DR out.
Nicole's shield is so goated.
C5R1 Varka, C0 Venti with fav, C6 Bennett, C0 Nicole with Citlali's weapon.
We attack maxxing with this one.
For any high investment Varka mains with no Durin, here's what I found.
In practice, Varka's 5th constellation is useless so this may as well be C4 Varka. And take the last number with a grain of salt as I do not have a set farmed for Nicole yet.
Venti, Nicole and Mavuika are all C0. Bennett is C6 with Aquila. Varka is C5R1.
My Prune is only C1 after my Nicole pulls lol so I don't think I'll be using her.
