Interesting Grubhub Credit DP

So my wife and I both have our own palladium cards. Today she wanted to order some lunch. I had already used my grubhub credit this month and she did not have a grubhub account or the app installed on our phone. I told her to go into her bilt app, redeem $10 bilt cash, for the grubhub credit and text me the code.

As I'm ordering for her I get to the point of where I apply the promo code, then I get a notice saying this promo code has already been used. That's weird this is a brand new code we got just 60 seconds earlier.

I then grab my wifes phone download the app, create an account for her, and proceed with the order again. Sure enough the promo code goes through just fine.

Do with this info as you wish and YMMV, but I strongly suspect the Bilt cash grubhub promo code is a universal promo code for that month that is limited to one use per user.

I could be wrong about this, but to me it certainly looks that way.

Bilt's 7th Hotel Transfer Partner

I'm not sure if other people have brought this up or mentioned this before, but there is a back door way to access a 7th Bilt hotel transfer partner. This will allow you transfer Bilt points at a 1:2 rate. The same offered by Citi and Capital1 for this same transfer partner.

Iprefer is the hotel partner and this can be done by transfering to Alaska and then transfering those points to Iprefer at 1:2 rate Atmos to Iprefer. One big catch is I believe you have to also have the Atmos Summit card. However I know there are many Bilt users who have Atmos cards to pay rent.

It seems weird transfering your atmos points for iprefer, but if anyone was looking at booking one of these hotels this is a potentially useful way to use your Bilt points.

Alaska/Atmos also has another obscure asian hotel transfer partner I've never heard of Shangri-La Circle (8:1).

Just a data point and FYI for others to consider to avoid my mistake. My wife and I paid out motor vehicle registrations on rent day for each of our cards. It wasn’t a ton of money $100 and $120.

I didn’t think of it as a tax payment. So no points or rent day points on. Also it did not count towards sub on my wife’s account or spend toward housing only rewards on my account.

Not too big of an L, but it sucks and spend that could’ve easily been put on another card.
