MGS Delta Platinum - Thoughts
I made it! First platinum of a Metal Gear Solid game and didn't think I would complete the Foxhound trophy, but...
After The Pain fight, I knew I should continue...
Surely it is much more easy than what it seems at first glance.
Guards no alert phases are amazing - the best part of the game for me, playing like this. Many different creative ways to do it and it feels really unique when you crack your own route w/ distractions, sleep shots, takedowns, etc.
In the last bit - with Eva in the woods - I used 3 sequenced tnt explosions to bring all the guards to the other part of the forest and then walked calmly with her torwards the goal. It felt great!
The bosses - besides the pain - are easy and the random factor makes you adapt in very interesting ways (the end, for example, according with his route and chosen positions).
But my favourite boss by far (and I really like big boss for the emotional aspect) is Volgin. I didn't use the mushroom technique and have created my own way to block him: basically choose the infinity grenade camo, throw a chaft grenade, equip weapon, let him blast a uncontroled energy ball and cqc him, roll above him and throw immediately a chaft grenade: repeat the process. Easy peasy.
All the clues are there: it's like a chess game to create your own melody.
The game is good, story is phenomenal and has classic moments of stealth. My only complain is that it's too short as soon as you get the hang of it. 3 hours and 18 min? Come on...
Hope they also remake sons of liberty... ❤️
(so many hours of my youth there... 😎)
