Preparing for CISSP and learning so much!
Hi, Dad.
My dad was a mathematician/ network engineer, avid learner, and my best friend. We're almost 2 years without him.
I'm studying for my CISSP right now and he'd be so proud, but also delighted to shoot the shit about binary math and quantum resistant cryptography we just covered in my class.
A binary math question got me onto the brain game team in high school, and I forsook math to study languages and became a project manager then Risk and Compliance specialist, so this is coming back around.
This stuff is so cool. I understand the technical pieces under controls I monitor. I know what IP addresses mean now and can calculate subnets!
Taking the exam this summer. Feeling typical imposter syndrome of a NON-CS grad breaking deeper into tech-adjacent fields. Please wish me luck.
