I'm looking to add some platies to my heater-less tank. I keep my house at 21 C or 69 F. I know there is a kind of platy that likes room temperature water, Xiphophorus variatus, but all my local pet stores only claim to only keep the standard tropical platies, Xiphophorus maculatus. Is there some way to identify the difference?
