Is this betta fish tank good?

My dad and I have a pet betta fish named Dracula (not necessary info) and we just upgraded his tank to 20 gallons, so I want some advice on if it is good or not.

Help sexing honey gourami!

So, our LFS sold us two supposed female honey gourami, which they id-d via a horizontal line on their side which seems to be nowhere to be seen since they've gotten home
We've also got a (I'm pretty sure) definite male, in the last picture with the black under his face.
I'm concerned about having brought home multiple males given the size of our tank (33g). Any help confirming either way would be much appreciated!
They've only been home 24h so their colouring may yet change.

Power has been out for 2.5 days and expected not to be resored for 4 more days - how to keep fish alive??

I have a 90gallon with a 4-5in EB JD, a close to mature Angelfish (odd pair but as individuals work great with eachother), 4 Siamese Algea eaters (3in or so each), 4 clown loach (about 2.5in each) and 3 Golden Killifish.

I also have a 30gal with a 3.5in EB JD, 2 siamese algea eaters about 1.5in each and a random blue baddis who somehow came with plants and I havent been able to catch for months lol.

Power went out Friday at around 5pm. It is now Sunday at 5:15 while Im typing and theyre not expecting to have our power resored until Wed-Thursday due to the severity of the damage..

Its about 80-90° so temp is not an issue, but bubbles are. We have the crappy little generator and all generators are sold out around us, so the best Ive been able to do is running their bubblers for about an hour 1//2 or two every 12 hours or so when we come to check on our cats (we were able to take our dogs to where were staying right now, but the cats are fine as they can hang in oir basement - our two special needs kids cant take the heat)...

My fish seem fine for now and the last couple days but this cant be sustainable, right??? What can we do to keep our fish alive?? Im not sure I can swing it today, but tomorrow I could come do water changes and also can the rest of the days without power but things have been too hectic until tomorrow - would that and bubbler for 2 hours every 12 hours or so be enough??

Betta with cloudy eye

First time fish parent freaking out here!!!
My betta fish has developed a cloudy eye on one of his eyes. I meant to get some aquarium salt to treat it but fell sick myself and couldn’t do so. I’ve been doing regular water changes in the hopes that it will help him but I haven’t seen any visible improvement.
Do I skip the salt and order some Kanaplex? Will the Kanaplex affect my snail and/or affect my tank? The more Im reading about this the more confusion it’s getting. Please help me heal my little boy

Vacation Anxiety

I got a new fishy recently. Pearl is a 5 month old black moor🖤.

I had to go out of town for a week. I did a water change before leaving and left the dissolvable fish feeder in the tank and have an automatic dispenser giving a few pellets every 12 hours.

I am feeling anxious that something may be wrong with this setup and my fish is suffering while I’m gone.
I get back home tomorrow night. #nervous

Please advise -I don't know what to do about fish (euthanise or wait)

I don't know if I should euthanise this fishy now or still wait...

Neon developed some discoloration on him a bit more than 2 weeks ago and now it did evolve a bit as the discoloration filled in a bit more. He swims, schools and eats normally. And this makes it harder for me to just euthanise the poor fish, hoping it is not NTD...

I don't have any other tank to be able to safely quarantine him.

I was thinking that at any new symptom or obvious worsening I will euthanise the fish so that it doesn't die in the tank, but I am afraid of it dying unexpectedly despite normal behavior.

I Need To Vent About My Suicidal Fish

Despite my title seeming a little silly I'm really having a hard time right now.

I have these two beautiful fairly large goldfish that I inherited from my grandfather when he was no longer able to care for them. If my math is correct they are most likely about 14 years old. They have done cross-states moves with me two times now.

These fish are tough cookies they survived both of these moves and some pretty harsh living conditions with my grandfather while he was struggling to care for them.

I love these fish dearly and since living with me I admittedly have spoiled them rotten. They have frequent water quality checks, regular tank cleanings and routine water changes, two bubblers, two filters, pebbles/substrate. Which they did not previously have in their last life with my grandfather.

I'm sure most of you know about the heat wave that is hitting many areas of the world right now. Well unfortunately I'm going undergoing one right now in addition to that my AC broke.

In the chaos of fixing my AC it seems one of my fish had jumped out and killed himself. By the time I got home he was bone dry and there was no hope of saving him. These fish have never jumped out of their water before and all of their years and they're multiple homes. They had just recently had a water change and all of their water levels were perfect. I'm absolutely devastated over this and feel so guilty. I truly don't know what caused it the only thing I can think of is the heat wave that's happening my apartment has been in the high 80s all week and I've just been toughing it out but I didn't think about how the heat would be affecting the goldfish because they started out as pond fish.

I just can't get this guilty feeling out of my stomach and I just feel so horrible I feel like I let my grandfather down as he left me to care for his fish that I killed. I cared so much for these fish and I just feel like I failed them.

Thank you for listening

Best fish for 10 gal and cat

Hi everyone! I’m relatively new to the fish keeping hobby and started out with a 10 gal fully planted tank. It currently has a few shrimp and 2 snails in it. My dilemma is I have a cat (pictured above) who loves to watch and paw/attack at the glass. I’m concerned a beta may be too stressed with his antics and wasn’t sure if just schooling fish would be better? Any advice would be super helpful.

would it be evil to downsize my tank

I have a betta and 6 pygmy corys in a 45-47L tank, this was my FIRST ever tank and its about 3 months old? everything has been absolutely fine however, something is off in my tank and I really don't understand what it is, all my duckweed died over night, the water is cloudy and the tint from the almond leaves just completely vanished, and I've noticed 2 of my corys acting odd. They'll swim up for air then come back down and be on their back on the ground and just not move, but if you disturb them they just swim off, and do it again a minute later, admittedly I panicked and I put those two in my mum's tank cause I thought it was a swim bladder issue (my mum's tank is shallower)

I use root tabs, flourish, the water parameters fine I think (ammonia <0.02, nitrate 0ppm, nitrite 0ppm, ph around 6.5), the ONLY thing different about the tank is I added some extra sand (washed) to just replace the sand I lost during a water change, so I expected a bit of cloudiness from that but not this much

Not too long after I started this tank, I got confident and made my mum's tank (has a female betta), the tank is smaller than mine, around 25L but long and shallower, and that tank has been better than mine in every way possible, so I'm not sure what I'm doing right and wrong on either tanks here..

I'm thinking I bit off more than I could chew as a first time fish keeper, which is why I wanted to ask, is it okay to downsize to the same size tank as my mum's, just till my corys are better and I learn how to better manage larger tanks :(? maybe even setting it up so my corys are in this tank and my betta is in the smaller one?

Also if you know whats going on with my corys please please any advice would be amazing

What should I put in it?

(Honorary Mention: Nico, my apparent catfish) What should put in here? I’m pretty new to the hobby and only have a betta fish, three shrimp and a mystery snail. Those are my first btw. I think the tank might be a 15 or 20? My sister bought it when they caught a mouse at their house and her fiancé stupidly decided to keep it until it passed away🙁. So I got the tank. Should i upgrade my Placket Betta or something new? I was thinking maybe something that is in a group so my cats could watch them?

Edit: I found out it is approximately 18 gallons (17.964 gal) done by measuring tape🤷🏼‍♀️ it was 45 x 40 x 41 so google said about 68 Liters

Opinion

I know I might get hate on it because it's not all exactly natural. but I had drawn out a idea on how I might design my fish tank. The colours aren't exactly accurate but yeah.

Sorry for the bad drawing lol.

Which fish for feeders?

I have a 40 gallon breeder that I would like to set up to use as a breeding tank so I have feeders for my big predatory fish. That being said I don’t know if I should use convict cichlids or make a big live bearer tank with mollies, guppies, and other live bearers. I’ll mostly be feeding fry but would also like bigger adult fish for when my bass gets bigger and for my SA cichlids.
