how common are scammers when selling fish?
ok, i sell guppies locally. nothing crazy, just keeps my population low allows me to do cool projects and covers the care of basically all my fish. issue is tho, i had one customer twice. now, i keep EVERY fish i sell in a notebook with names, and i name each and every fish for this exact reason. the first time i sold this guy fish, he requested 6 plus a ton plants for 10$. i gave him 3 extras just in case, all was good i didnt receive any negative feedback. second time, i offered to do a swap for mystery snails instead of charging the 8$ for them since he said he had an infestation in his tank. i gave him 9 guppies and 20 lotus seedlings for it, he texted me after saying i shorted him both times but i dont know how thats possible because i literally wrote down each fish individually IN my notebook along with who there parents are and around what time they were born. i decided fighting it was more trouble then it was worth and im still new, so i gave him 4 more for free. im almost completely certain this was a scam, because i remember packing 6 the first time PLUS three extras and i remember packing 8 with one free extra the second time. how common is this? is it better to just give them free fish anyway to spare the trouble or fight them on it? i sell my guppies insanely cheap to, trio for 2$ 6 for 5$ and 8 for 7$ i mean if your buying acctualy really good fish for that price whats the point in being greedy about it?
