Accident

My partner has been caring for a kitten for the past 2 months, at first things weren't looking so good because it was moving so weakly compared to its sibling but after nursing it, it started to look and become livelier.

Today, as she was leaving for work, she accidentally ran over it and is heavily blaming herself for what happened. We're long-distance so as much as I want to be there for her physically, I can only do so much and I tried comforting her as much as I could over the phone.

I know how much she's cared for the kitten and it has become a big part of her everyday life in the time leading up to it and hearing about it was so painful for me, I can't begin to imagine how painful it is for her. I want to help her get through this but I'm currently lost on how I should approach things, and would appreciate any help.
