How to make a cable faster

I needed a Ethernet cable. While looking for some Ethernet cable and realizing I have none, I found these old telephone wires which have 2 wires each. I've made a few Ethernet cables before and remembered that they use 8 wires. So I managed to cram all 4 telephone wires into the Ethernet end and was able to make this cable. I was glad to see that it worked, but on an internet speed test I only got high 90s of mbps. My internet should be 500mbps. Did I do something wrong? Can I make it get my full 500?

No longer do I have to log into my employers wifi portal every 3 days!

Travel router at the office for the win!

Edit: I'm an engineer for a fortune 500 company. I'm allowed to do stuff like this😂

Edit2: so to clarify some misconceptions, our network security is handled on the device side. For me to be able to see any company information, I have to be connected to the companies VPN. For that to happen, the device has to be registered with IT and I have to log into about 3 different things as well as use 2 factor. I design large scale networks for a lot of commercial applications and sometimes have to test what I'm designing. That's why our network is set up how it is and I'm allowed to do stuff like this because at the end of the day, it's another learning experience on ways I can better serve the customer.
