I’m planning to build a new PC soon and wanted some feedback before I go ahead and start buying parts. I’ll mostly be using it for 1440p gaming, along with some general productivity work.

Here’s the build I’ve put together:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
Motherboard: Gigabyte B850M Aorus Elite WiFi6E (AM5, mATX)
GPU: Asus Dual RX 9060 XT 16GB
RAM: Adata XPG Lancer RGB 16GB (1×16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL48 (White)
Storage: WD Blue SN5100 500GB NVMe Gen4
Cooler: MSI MAG CoreLiquid A13 360mm (White)
Case: Cooler Master TD500 Mesh V2 (White)
PSU: ProLab Design XPower XP-750 Gold Fully Modular

Goals:

  • Smooth 1440p gaming (high/ultra settings)
  • Decent future-proofing
  • Clean themed build

A few notes:

  • RAM prices are pretty high right now, so I’ve gone with 1×16GB for the moment. Planning to add another 16GB later and make it 32GB when prices drop a bit (or when I have more money 😅).
  • Full white build isn’t a strict requirement, I just want a consistent color theme. Either all white or all black works. If the price difference is minimal, I’ll probably go with white.

A few doubts I have:

  • Will running single-channel RAM temporarily affect performance a lot?
  • Is starting with 500GB SSD a bad idea in 2026?
  • Any better alternatives in the same price range (especially in India)?

Also, if anyone here has built something similar recently in India, I’d love to know:

  • Where you got the best pricing
  • Any reliable vendors you’d recommend

Appreciate any advice or suggestions 🙌

What will you be doing with this PC?
Mainly 1440p gaming (AAA titles on high/ultra settings), along with some general productivity work (coding, multitasking, etc).

What is your maximum budget?
Around ₹1.3L – ₹1.5L (flexible if there’s a good reason to stretch slightly).

When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Within the next 1–2 weeks.

What, exactly, do you need included in the budget?
Only the tower (no monitor, keyboard, mouse, or OS needed).

Which state/city will you be purchasing the parts in?
Pune, Maharashtra. Open to both online and offline, whichever gives better pricing.

If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing?
Monitor, keyboard, and mouse (no internal components being reused).

Will you be overclocking?
No, not immediately. Maybe light tuning in the future, but nothing serious.

Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build?

  • AM5 platform for future upgrades
  • Good 1440p performance

Do you have any specific case preferences?
Mid-tower preferred.
Not strict on full white, but I do want a consistent color theme (either full white or full black). If the price difference is small, I’ll go for white.

Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget?
No.

Extra info or particulars:

Here’s the build I’ve shortlisted:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte B850M Aorus Elite WiFi6E (AM5, mATX)
  • GPU: Asus Dual RX 9060 XT 16GB
  • RAM: Adata XPG Lancer RGB 16GB (1×16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL48 (White)
  • Storage: WD Blue SN5100 500GB NVMe Gen4
  • Cooler: MSI MAG CoreLiquid A13 360mm (White)
  • Case: Cooler Master TD500 Mesh V2 (White)
  • PSU: ProLab Design XPower XP-750 Gold Fully Modular

Notes / Concerns:

  • RAM prices are quite high right now, so I’ve gone with 1×16GB for now and plan to add another 16GB later to make it 32GB when prices drop (or when I have more money 😅).
  • Not sure if running single-channel temporarily will hurt performance a lot.
  • Unsure if 500GB storage will be too limiting in 2026.

Would really appreciate feedback on:

  • Overall balance of the build
  • Any better alternatives in the same budget
  • Whether I should change RAM/storage/cooler choices

Also open to vendor suggestions (online/offline in India) if you’ve had good experiences.

Thanks in advance 🙌
