I’m planning to build a new PC soon and wanted some feedback before I go ahead and start buying parts. I’ll mostly be using it for 1440p gaming, along with some general productivity work.
Here’s the build I’ve put together:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
Motherboard: Gigabyte B850M Aorus Elite WiFi6E (AM5, mATX)
GPU: Asus Dual RX 9060 XT 16GB
RAM: Adata XPG Lancer RGB 16GB (1×16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL48 (White)
Storage: WD Blue SN5100 500GB NVMe Gen4
Cooler: MSI MAG CoreLiquid A13 360mm (White)
Case: Cooler Master TD500 Mesh V2 (White)
PSU: ProLab Design XPower XP-750 Gold Fully Modular
Goals:
- Smooth 1440p gaming (high/ultra settings)
- Decent future-proofing
- Clean themed build
A few notes:
- RAM prices are pretty high right now, so I’ve gone with 1×16GB for the moment. Planning to add another 16GB later and make it 32GB when prices drop a bit (or when I have more money 😅).
- Full white build isn’t a strict requirement, I just want a consistent color theme. Either all white or all black works. If the price difference is minimal, I’ll probably go with white.
A few doubts I have:
- Will running single-channel RAM temporarily affect performance a lot?
- Is starting with 500GB SSD a bad idea in 2026?
- Any better alternatives in the same price range (especially in India)?
Also, if anyone here has built something similar recently in India, I’d love to know:
- Where you got the best pricing
- Any reliable vendors you’d recommend
Appreciate any advice or suggestions 🙌
