Interesting behavior

Randomly yesterday, before installing the latest update, my phone 14 pro max, started acting strange.

My web browser tilted horizontally and would not reorient until i enabled orientation lock. So I powered off the phone.

When i turned it back on, it kept powering down and showing the apple logo and such, but would then turn itself back on.

I tried troubleshooting this to the best of my ability, in between power cycles, but that became so frustrating after about 4 hours…

I got back home, plugged it in, and it still kept restarting. So I squeezed it as hard as I could. Heard some crunching, and immediately distorted the bottom of the screen. I’ve got this greenish black bar covering about a half inch, followed by a max brightness white bar covering about an eighth inch, then normal screen.

That sucks, BUT, it somehow resolved the kernel panic, and my phone is going to be able to back up fully and transfer, so that’s a small win.

I’m really torn though, how are people liking the 17? I don’t know if I want to stay with apple.

Top down view. Black gap is joinder gap.

Exposed subfloor was left intentional for track style T molding or reducer.

This picture is a bit old as the left side floor is already gone, and the new floor is in place up to the joinder gap.

I’m stuck at work but I can’t stop obsessing over this, and I don’t even have proper measurements to tell you how big the gap is.

My issue is that all the transition strips I’m seeing with a track seem to cap at 2”.

This looks a little bigger than 2” from the photo. I can’t remember.

I really don’t want to rip a plank that small to close the gap, but I don’t know what else to do.
