When you write cover letters/resumes, are you writing them for the ATS, the HR person, or the hiring manager who actually understands the role?
I aim them at all three, but I feel like the message is so different. HR and ATS are just checking boxes, but sometimes I feel that by myself crystal clear and simple for HR, I'm kind of being more vague than I should be if I was directing it only to the person actually making the final decision.
