The other week I tried my hand at batch painting 4 orks while at the Armageddon launch event at my LGC. I didn’t get them finished and honestly I think I’ll stick with one at a time, I prefer focusing on one model at a time. Anyway I finished one up today but also wanted to get at least one Armageddon model done. So I painted my 1st Grechin. Smallest model I’ve painted yet. It was a challenge, but a fun one!
Got my last Ork painted up before launch day tomorrow!! I think I’m gonna hang with the folks at my LGS tomorrow when I pick up my Armageddon box and paint tomorrows Ork and might even paint an extra bonus Ork for myself in honour of 11th edition launch!
First time painting a chain blade. Came out nice, but I’m not a fan of the shade I picked for his skin tone, so I probably won’t be using that one any more lol.
My Ork for the day! My 4th over all, this was the first one with two handed gun making me have to work underneath to get all the parts!
Continuing getting ready for 11th, I’ve finished my third ork! This one is my first ork that I’ve primed up using the zenithal priming method. I like the results a lot! I also tried to get a little more detail on his upper body this time around.
I’ve seen a post or two now about the StarCraft TMG website being bugged when regards to order status not updating past the paid status, but receiving their order recently. I pre-ordered a founders bundle with the starter box and the Protoss starter box. I’m just wondering if anybody else in Canada has received any products yet or have any updates on the status of Canadian shipping?
Just got into Warhammer 40K a year and a half-ish to go. Spent 10th edition learning to build paint and play with Space Marines! Decided that with 11th I wanted to build an Ork army. They’ve become my favourite faction look and lore wise. I enjoy that they are pretty much the only faction in 40K having a good time! I do intend to build most of my Ork out of the updated models that’ll be released over the course of 11th. I did manage to score myself an Armageddon box for the 20th!!!! Today I decided to open an older box of Boyz I have and build the Boss Nob to get some practice with the new speed paints I bought. I still need some practice with them, but over all I really like the results!
