A while back I posted an unpainted version of him and after over a month of sitting in that state, Ghanon Ghazlighter, warlord of WAAAGH ‘ARD STOMPAZ is finally done. Used the venerable dreadnought model as a base and just added a bunch of bits onto him to make him act as a Nazdreg on the tabletop. The black Templar on his back is just some stupid git who got a bit too close to his gun waving a stupidly big choppa and screaming something about being a champion of that big dead umie they all worship, whatever that means. The mini is also full of free hands that represent parts of the lore of my WAAAGH, such as the broken astra militarum plate on the base (the remains of the planet’s previous defenders) the writing of Ossis being green (Ossis being the planet they’re on) and a red star next to Filemon Bomba, a grot that once had the entire warband in his little fist back when Ghanon was slightly too stupid to understand everything that’s going on, but now that he’s catching on, Filemon is starting to feel… radical and red.

Gotta say, I love how this model turned out, can’t wait to finally get him on the tabletop. Tell me what you think!

I love Grot tanks! This is so much fun, and it’s starting to become one of my favorites. Also, everything is GW plastic and Green Stuff so far.

The idea is put 2 pairs of 3d printed caterpillar tracks.

Gretchin... obviously they carry and throw grenades... but no keyword.

At the least, have the option for the 1 CP throw and run grenade option in the old Dread Mob detachment!

Damn shame.

The new Nobz kit (KillTeam) is going to have more options that the ones showed up on the previews? Cause if not... it´s a bit lame.

Who doesn’t love a fully painted army? Won’t be amazingly high display quality, but I’ll get it painted.

First steps: Priming with Mechanicus grey + titanium white drybrush. Except for the Gretchins and one of the Big Mek Dakkarigs. Used black primer there and it’s worse.

Many people know about the G.R.C. Grot Rebels from Gorkamorka, and a lot of people want to see them return, me included, but in my opinion proper Grot Rebels only make sense as their own distinct faction rather than an addition to Orks, since the very thing they're rebelling against is the oppressive Orks.

However, before Gorkamorka, all the way back in 1991, there was a very similar type of self-determined grot who didn't necessarily have qualms about working alongside Orks: Gretchin Bandits.

Was digging through the old books recently and came across these. Had never heard of them before. They don't have an article on Lexicanum or anything. Figured others might find it interesting or inspiring as well.

If GW were to add a rebel-style variant of Gretchin to Orks at some point I reckon it'd make more sense to base their lore on these guys rather than the ones from Gorkamorka. Perhaps even merge the two ideas to some extent. I reckon the visual identity of the two could mesh well enough if done right.

Now we get into the real meat of the model. Endless details. Every panel getting shading. All the greeblies getting their own color and effect. This is going to be my life for the rest of the month. Slowly going insane as I shade panel after panel after panel.

I’ve left his big jaw off for now. I have a couple ideas about what to do with it, but for now I need to be able to access underneath.

But out of nowhere, my account got locked and I can't have access to it anymore. I called the help service but they just told me to go fuck myself. Is there anyone good Boy here that can help me find a new one ?

I got the book but I can't use the web codex and see the updates anymore. 😭

After several weeks of a few hours a day, i managed to finish my Ghazghkull!

He is colored for the Deathskulls, with an honor color accent to the Goffs where He's hailing from.

This is one of my models which i'd gladly take to a painted model competition. Though, I'm sure golden demon is still far away.

Still, happy with the outcome and really proud of my progress.
