Gretchin... obviously they carry and throw grenades... but no keyword.

At the least, have the option for the 1 CP throw and run grenade option in the old Dread Mob detachment!

Heres my first done (for now!) Captain in Terminator Armour and corresponding 5 man Terminators

Really enjoyed doing these, especially the Captain.

By no means perfect but like how fast I was able to do these, get them based and battle-ready. (Yay Contrast paints!)

Also my first Tyranid. I have a Tyranid army as well, and going for a Kraken scheme, so painted the base Screamer Killer as such. (Have an T'au and Ork armies as well so they're all getting the same base treatment to tie everything together and hopefully one day set up a battlefield diorama!)

Will do the decals later when I get the nerve to do so lol

Ngl, like painting these terminators.

Painting my UM to get them presentable on the table and not looking to spend a lot of time on them, really liking how these are turning out.

Not sure if it's Heresy, hut opted for a green blade instead of the blue.

Working on my pile of grey shame (UM being my 3rd army!) And wanted to do a test run with the Infernus Marine. Mostly used contrast paints, and primed with Vallejo Ultramarine rattlecan and a white zenithil.

My goal was as fast as I could. Hit about 1 1/2 hours which including selecting the paints, drying times and basing the model. Not sure if thats fast or not? (Ill add what I used if anyone is interested.)

Really liked how he turned out!

Working on my backlog of plastic, and wanted to say how much I love the humble make-up sponge for painting T'au especially the larger flat or curved panels. 20-25 mins to complete the first layer for these two hulls, engines.

First layer of Red (Khorne Red) down, will later now apply some Agrax Earthshade (prefer over Nuln Oil), then layers of Mephiston Red then Evil Sunz Scarlet to match the rest of my FSE army. Once ill get the reds down ill tape and work on some camouflage using Grey's and some metallic for the engines, etc. Still deciding what ill do with the weapons/drones, etc...

Anyway, for anyone not wanting to use brush, dont have an airbursh, the sponge is the way to go!

Wondering if I can use these models in a pure Ultramarine list, ie. Are all the type of models available to Ultramarines?

So still only have the factory stock nozzle 0.4 and been finding it good for the larger prints/pieces.

Definitely need to upgrade to the 0.2 for smaller mini sized.

But I tried some Custodes prints and the last was a Trajann Valoris proxy.

Filler primer, gold metallic spray and then some contrast paint, it didnt turn out half bad IMO...

(Should've dont a little more clean up on the cape but meh, won't notice it on the table lol)

Only have a Ender3 V3 Ke with stock 0.4 nozzle and didnt have much success with smaller prints. But tried some Custodes and thought they turned out half decent.

0.4 nozzle, 0.08mm layer, stock Ender 3 V3 Ke, using ObscuraNox2.0 settings (Creality Slicer).

I used contrast paints (I'm no painter), but primed first with primer filler, then used a Rustoleum gold metallic spray. From arms length on the table, looks decent.

Continuing my kitbash of a Kommando squad. First up the Boss Nob.

Pieces from the Stormboyz, old boyz kits, ans then other bits from other 40k kits mashed together.

What's everyone's take on interval for nozzle change, regular maintenance, etc.

I've been printing fairly steadily for months now since I took it out of the box, and as far as I can tell its still good quality prints with no issues, etc. (At least to my liking!)

Had my first game with CK and also 11th. I conceded bottom of third as I had but one lone Karnivore left.

But it was fun and hope to play better next time.

I used Lords of Dread and Hunting Warpack. Played against Space Wolves. Opponent is one of our top players in our group so my odds of winning was slim to nil lol.

Found that new missions and secondaries really forces you to move and expose to score VP, and the new hidden rules came in clutch for one of his units that limited my long range shooting targets.

The warpborne stalker enhancement was fun. Picking up the Rampager and then deepstriking into his home objective to score 5vp for a secondary was cool. That new 8" range helps a ton.

There's a ton of space on the map. I also play Orks and looking at the board there's lots of room to move a Stompa on two (or two! Lol)

Finished printing and priming my CKnights, and after placing them in the bin... thought they looked like crab in a crabpot lol

Either way, cant wait to try out the army!

So have printed off a number of Chaos Knights for a full army in 40k, and wanted try filler primer to see if itll help with the layer lines.

Ive definitely found they the Ender3 does well as compared to smaller models (like infantry) and so tried the filler primer on this Wae Dog print.

0.4 nozzle. 0.08 layer height.

Grey Filler primer -> 2x flat black primer -> Zenithel with 2x flat white primer all by Rustoleum.

Thought it turned out great! Have to clean up some areas that show some small stringing.

Now on to the other 6 Knights!

Now that you can add Upgrades to Gretchin units, like Big Shiny Shootas, that extra +1 wound and hit roll, sustained and rapid fire 1, enemies won't know what hit 'em!

The little "printer" that could...

Been printing constantly on my KE for 3 1/2 months straight... printing 40k models.

Working on a Knight army and quite impressed with how they're turning out. Amazed at how the stock equipment is printing such fine details.

Found that slicing and cutting the individual pieces to limit tree supports and align the laying to push the details works great.

Settings are using the ObscuraNox2.0 found over on FDMiniatures... 0.08mm layer height, stock 0.4 nozzle and HyperPLA.

Bringing this list to a game tomorrow, dont know the opponent as we have various factions in the group.

Which Detachment should I use with the list:
