So my 3yo has been going to OT for the last year and we've seen great improvement. However, she's supposed to be starting elementary school in the new school year. Her therapist suggested that she get a shadow for her new school, transitioning from her daycare. What has your experience been like with shadows in school? My husband is concerned that she may be teased in the upcoming years, as well as that she may become too dependent on the shadow. I have a proper meeting with the therapist and her bosses next week to fully go through the whole thing but I think I'm also just not fully understanding what the shadow does at school.
