I don't know why people go through the mess of interviewing when it's just a big ole psychological game, of who can kiss ass the best while trying to avoid stepping on a landmine because you don't want to trigger the hiring manager's PTSD. Laszlo Bock the former CHRO of Google is doing a great series on what it takes to get hired.
And it is not the usual B.S. like write a cover letter because no one reads them and it is more likely to hurt your chances. And no matter how talented you are, if they don't like you, you are not getting hired. And that's my problem. I am good at my job and I am nice to people but I am not a likable person, I don't kiss ass, don't look like a model, hate small talk and don't have time for your b.s. The problem is my FACE says it all. I can't even lie about when someone asks some dumb question in an interview.
