Atlantic City trip report 6/24-6/28

Our group had so much fun in Atlantic City last summer that we decided to make it a yearly trip. We left Pittsburgh around 11am and got to Hard Rock Casino around 5:30pm. Check in was pretty smooth and our rooms were a huge upgrade over the rooms we had last year at the Tropicana. We grabbed food from the Mediterranean spot in Hard Rock and took a walk down the boardwalk and dipped in to Resorts, Bally’s and Caesar’s. All casinos were pretty busy considering it was a weeknight and there were a bunch of German World Cup fans getting wild.

The next day we made our way to the beach and spent the entire day there. Absolutely beautiful weather and really chill vibes on the beach.
That evening we split between Hard Rock and Ocean both Then went on the Ferris wheel at the steel pier. We kept it lowkey because we needed to checkout the next day.

On Friday we checked out of Hard Rock and drove over to Borgata to see if we could get early check in. The staff said our room was ready and they didn’t charge a check in fee or anything. We wanted to try the Beer Garden pool but it was closed for an event. The MGM tower pools were pretty cool. The Borgata was definitely a different vibe from Hard Rock. Place was packed and we spent Saturday trying to swim in the outdoor pools but it started raining in afternoon.

Saturday night we went to B Prime and was pretty blown away by the service and the food. I saw some reviews that made me have low expectations but the food was good and it was not crazy expensive at least compared to most steakhouses. After dinner we went to Harrahs and it reminded me of Tropicana. All in all it was a great trip. I enjoyed Hard Rock more than Borgata but that may be more because of the boardwalk and beach. Both resorts had great customer service and I don’t think you could go wrong staying at either one.

Can’t wait to come back to Atlantic City next summer.
