Gift-giving time!
My son turns 7 tomorrow and is getting a SwissChamp (with New York scales) in exchange for his "My First Victorinox" mod that I built. With that one, he's definitely equipped for anything (hiking and camping trips with Dad, fishing trips with Grandpa).
My daughter (who will be 9 in the summer) is also getting a Champion with Paris scales tomorrow (the three of us are going camping in two weeks) in exchange for her Wenger Junior 03. The two of them are really confident with pocket knives now, and it's time for a full-size SAK.
I built the Woodsman for a friend's son (I'm known among my friends for collecting, restoring, and assembling Victorinox knives, and he asked me to build one for his son). He asked how much money he should pay, but I don't take money for my friends' kids' pocket knives.Since he's also coming on the camping trip in two weeks, the beer's on him now.
