Chapter 1:the burden of the best Act 1 October 14th 2048 Hey, my names shiki and well I'm a high school student things are... Well they're rough I'll give you that but we just keep pushing through every day. I'm just trying to make it through the days or at least that's what I though until... "Hey kid, come over here" a strange man said. So I walked over there nothing could have prepared me for what he was gonna say "I got some stuff I need done you think you could help" he said "huh?! Why me" I said "well I run the special operations association for Anomalies and I was thinking you could help" "I- I guess" I said reluctantly. So I followed him to the operations base that's where I met the people I would be working with.

Commander Vance the one calling the shots. Kaito the one whose always cocky and trying to make jokes. The info broker his name the architect he's an old man but he's helpful. Hana she's really the only one I can trust in this place to not be mean. Saito hes been here the longest he knows the in and outs of this place. And finally Gemma the supporting role and anchor of the team using powerful armor to take hits.

Now that we got that out of the way I was finally given a plasma weapon "this weapon is very dangerous do not point it at your teammates or yourself only at the enemies" Vance said. "I think I can finally get used to this" I said but Hana taps me on the shoulder and says "hey there's usually one other person here but he's not right now I wouldn't worry about him he can handle himself" "alright" I reply before me and Hana head out ready to face what's coming.

Act 2 Alright Hana went off to do other things but Saito would take her place in the meantime we met up with this scientist at an old abandoned lab. As we walked in vials were everywhere things spilled the guy said "ugh theres some undefined code if I can just- dang it! can't get it". Saito points upwards and says "look the man who did it all the man that's covered in silver" I look up to see a tapestry a man behind desks but the man stands out covered in silver. Saito then adds "he perfected the weapons you see here unfortunately though... He's gone he's well- we don't know" I suggest "hey we should probably get going don't want to keep the others waiting". "Yeah you're right" Saito says as we both walk out.

As we both walk out we see commander Vance standing there he says he needs to talk to use about something. "Alright you two specifically shiki I need to explain your divine arts they are the core of monster hunting there are natural arts and there are artificial arts. Basically artificial arts are ones implanted into a person but natural arts are ones people are born with they usually go into special forces anyways that's how it works here let me do this stand still." I struggle a little but into the flash of an eye Vance slides a chip into my neck my arms glow and I raise my arm an impenetrable shield glowing blue I exclaim "woah!" I head out to town ready to take on monsters.

Act 3 I'm fighting monsters when a man appears behind says "you're doing it all wrong kid" I whip around to see a man in all dark clothing he claims himself to someone named Renk a real dark cloak covering his face where only his mouth is visible he says "I'm renk kid and well you got some style, Hana must've told you about me well I'm the the person that wasn't there for your introduction." I look at him but just like that he disappears not a word more or less.

I finish clearing up the monsters and head back to the base but people are moving... Faster then usual I run to vance's office and ask "sir what's happening" he replies with "there's a bit of an issue malicious tags have been detected at the town sane-machi and it looks like there's some enemies not regular crystallized beasts like the ones you've been fighting these are people with cursed arts."

I look at him and just say "what? Sane-machi that's where I grew up" Vance replies with "it's imperative you go check it out I'm gonna pair you up with Kaito we can't have you going alone" suddenly Kaito bursts through the door obnoxiously and says" ha ha ha I thought you'd need my help I mean seriously no way you could do it on your own seriously you're so helpless" Vance puts two fingers on his eyes shaking his head just saying" please you two I expect you both to behave especially you Kaito" Kaito replies smugly with" whatever you say, boss."

Chapter 2:dissonant echoes Act 1

somewhere in Honshu

A man sits on a lawn chair lounging as someone comes up and says "master are you thoroughly satisfied with our work" someone says his build is like a Scarecrow with a stitched mouth "no I am not sticher" the man says. sticher replies with "why not sir" the man replies with "the new guy and Kaito are heading to our attack spot they could foil our plans at any moment" suddenly another voice speaks up deep and brooding "I wouldn't to much about it sir it's only December 22nd our attack is on December 23rd." "that is enough time for our plans to be foiled void" then another voice speaks Royal and high " ahahah you surely worry to much boss you really gotta let up" "I guess you're right you better be prepared renk because the fracture is coming"

Act 2 back in town "Alright we're here this is worse than I thought" Kaito replies with "oh please what would you know I mean you just joined our special forces a few days ago" I shrug it off and say "we got we need we can head back now and tell the others just let me get a sample of the soil." I sample the soil and place it into a bag as we head back but we run into trouble "shoot crystal monsters, Kaito cover me" "don't tell me what to do fresh meat." Kaito says as he gets into position he jumps and touches the crystallized beast yelling out "kinetic resonance" as the monster vibrates then shatters. I use my shield to send multi slashes shattering the rest we quickly run back to the base shutting the door behind us and running to Vance as we both say "we completed our mission." Vance looks at us disheartened saying "I'm afraid we may not last another day we're going to war thanks for your help on the sample but it's not enough the fracture is coming"

Chapter 3:call to arms Act 1 they step out through a portal ready to cause havoc a hole has torn in the clouds lightning swirling it with darker clouds surrounding the lightning "Alright let's get this started I haven't got enough time for this" the man says as he raises his arm summoning crystallized beasts from the ground and saying "cursed art necrotic arisal. At the same time Hana, shiki, Vance, Kaito, Saito, and Gemma along with 4 battalions of troops ready to fight renk takes to the side ready to confront the man. But suddenly.... He gets swarmed by beasts he says "divine art Chrono strike" he punches the beast directly then a version of him where he just punched appears in green as he yells "Chrono second strike" he punches the air and the second punch hits shattering the beast now all he has to do is fight off the rest.

Act 2 Now let's pan to our other heroes shiki and Hana are in the underground part of town because large beasts have arisen there "Hana I need your help use that blade to hold them off I'll use my shield just keep feeding power into the shield" "right" she replies.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here some newbies" stitcher appears with his Scarecrow face and mouth "who are you" I ask "the names stitcher kid" suddenly stitcher rips off and his stitches creating new ones. simultaneously on his body as he uses the ripped off stitches to break all of the crystallized beasts and in an instant sows the all of the broken pieces together to make a giant evolved crystallized beast. I put up my heaven shield and hana yelled "divine art empowerment" it makes my heaven shield sturdier

Act 3 Now let's pan to the final hero's commander Vance and the info broker who's away from the battle but he gets on comms and says "keep going straight guys and you'll reach the threshold" Vance replies with "alright on it." As the comms end but they run into two people "ahahaha you will not pass us" a Royal voice says and then adds "it is I carrion queen, with my apprentice the void singer". The void singer says "let's just get this over with" suddenly more crystallized beasts rise from the ground. Vance makes a callout saying "Kaito take the queen I've got the void" "haha" Kaito laughs arrogantly then adds "I will kick all your asses" a monster swipes at him but he doesn't dodge he simply says "divine art vector dominance" he touches the monsters claw mid swipe and reflects the full force of it's hit as it immediately shatters. A monster swipes at Vance he dodges back holding his hand up palm facing towards him as he says "divine art the sovereign grid" he focuses on the monster and the monster is now unable to move finally Vance says "you're nothing but a demon straight to your core" as he fires a grid shaped slash towards the monster that no one else sees but him directly to the monsters core to everyone else it looks like the monster just shattered.

They finish clearing out the crystal monsters quickly before the enemies can attack the void sends multiple slashes leaving tons of pockets in the air that completely block out air flow making them zero air space pockets. Vance holds up his hand again void now unable to move but he starts humming Vance focuses on him saying "divine art the sovereign grid" he then says "you're nothing but a demon straight to your core" Vance waits but nothing happens his grid never comes out "you can put that hand down" void says the he adds on "cursed art identity erasure" he then adds "makes you forget how to use your art." on the other hand the carrion queen is firing paper spikes at Kaito he can't reflect with his art he gets slipped up and one spike is heading right towards him when bang Gemma appears quickly and says" divine art sturdy enhancement!"as she takes the full force blow her divine art making her an immovable wall

Kaito looks up at her and says "ugh not you I didn't need your help woman" Gemma fires five plasma bullet shots at the carrion queen all five hit her arm taking it off she cries out in pain "you little brat I'll kill you" her remaining arm touches a pillar turning it into a paper pillar as she picks it up and throws it at Gemma it solidifies back into stone mid way hitting Gemma she's unable to stand.

Act 4 Void is distracted and ends up getting impaled by a steel sword he's injured badly but is slowly regenerating Vance yells out ".2 slash!" the grid comes out immediately unrefined not striking the core directly but finishing him off by striking everything around it so void can't regenerate. Vance then gets Gemma to a safe area to recover then comes back to finish off the carrion queen.

going back to renks fight He is fighting with everything he's got when Saito runs around the corner seeing this unfold and seeing renk fight for his life he's being swarmed by these monsters. "Divine art Chrono strike" he punches all of them at the same time" he then says" Chrono strike max second strike" as it hits all of them from different areas on their bodies as they shatter. The mysterious man is watching renk the most powerful fighter struggle knowing that renk isn't even apart of the special operatives Saito knows he can't just stand he pulls out the sword of the damned ready to hit a final blow. He knows if he can't take the man head on because of his cursed art and he'll just keep rising these monsters so it's final he rushes the man from behind jumps into the air and yells "divine art CASUAL SEVERANCE!!!!!" he slashes down and is immediately blown away from the drawback he's coughing blood "the ability that severs time hitting the target in the past, present, and future" Saito says as the man turns to look at him the summoning has stopped briefly as the man has one hand on his mouth and the other clutching his chest there's no visible cut but the man starts throwing up black liquid

back to Hana and shiki Hana uses her blade to cut down the monster and tries to use her empowerment on me but stitcher says "cursed art living embroidery" as Hana gets trapped in a patch stitched cocoon I try to rip open the cocoon her art can't reach me in there I send out slashes from my shield mixed with slashes from the weapon that she dropped when she got trapped. without her though my shield can't sustain itself for long. suddenly though the cocoon rips she coughs and stands up ready to fight again but not for long when he rips his stitches off wrapping around her neck in the blink of an eye in feels like you can hear a pin drop. slash! The stitches go through her head flies off blood splattering from the neck where her head got cut my eyes go wide I feel unable to move as I say "Hana..." my voice shaky but I say it again "Hana... No this isn't....." I turn around my aura shield emitting a golden aura" "divine art.... THE SHRIVEN HEAAAAAVEEEEEN" golden energy brusts outwards 7 shields surrounding me.

back with Saito and renk Saito has used all his energy and the with him being the veteran his drawback of the attack was to much but he left the man critically injured as Saito bleeds out he knows he did what was right now we go to the man thats critically injured. "no.. I'm not going out like this, I am not leaving this fracture without something" the man says as he raises his hand to renk and says "space distortion teleport" as renk gets sucked into a hole and then the man snaps his fingers as he teleports away.

Back to shiki and stitcher* Shiki is pissed that Hana is dead he tells out "gravity graves as his aura increases becoming nearly crushing to anything within a 20 meter radius as stitcher staggers a little. he says" woah kid you might just wanna calm down or you'll get the same treatment" shiki then yells out "crown of thorns" as his golden shield turns black now his entire body covered in Obsidian spikes he then says "implosion shield as seven shields appear in blue orbs around him imploding stitcher is blown back by it shiki's aura is now terrifyingto stitcher and now stitcher wondering why he even became subservient to such a monster. that this is how he is gonna die he gets up tripping over himself trying to run away shields appear in front of him exploding and knocking him back shiki stands over him his fist covered in Obsidian spikes as stitcher looks up at him with fear but shiki punches stitcher over and over each time time the spikes on his fist impaling stitcher a little until stitchers core is gone.

back to Kaito and Vance They're perfectly syncing their attacks on the carrion queen she can't keep up so she says "ENOUGH ALREADY I AM NOT GOING OUT LIKE THIS" she then yells out "PAPER FOLD" the ground under her collapses into seemingly nothing but as quickly as it opens it closes back up. the clouds clear the lightning stops

Chapter 4:silver scars Act 1 flashback with renk June 1st 2023 "Listen hans you can't leave just yet I mean listen to yourself do you even know you're doing" renk says "I know perfectly what I'm doing this world is diseased with a virus that must be cured and my inventions have the power to cure it" hans says "I'm leaving the special forces" hans adds and with that hans runs out out grabbing a book on his way out the secrets to necromancy "Hans..." renk says but not to long after that renk leaves the special forces leaving only a year after the events though renk comes home to find his daughters covered in blood on the ground he knows exactly who did it hans won't take or get his hands on more lives. end of flashback back at the base "MEETING" Vance calls out "alright so we took a beating but the important thing is we got majority of their forces down renk is missing Saito and hana are unfortunately dead" Vance adds. "I must go I need to find him we can't let that guy escape listen Vance you're the leader you have to have some more info please I'm asking for help" shiki pleads "he used to be apart of us but he's just a false architect now, his name is hans silver" Vance reveals and everyone around the table gasps "I thought he died" Gemma says "that losers still out there causing trouble" kaito adds" no way" the info broker says from his rocking chair the other mercenaries burst in and suspiciously say "we weren't listening" "listen I don't care of this guy is a big deal I just gotta get to the bottom of it I'm out." with that shiki walks out

Act 2 somewhere in a sanctuary "Hey dad I hope you're doing ok, I mean I never thought I'd be lost like this but I know you'd never want this for me but I just hope you resting good" shiki stands up from a buried area suddenly a voice comes from behind "Wow. The 'brooding hero at a rainy gravestone' look? Classic. You’re hitting all the tropes today, Shiki! You just need a slow-motion shot and a hawk screeching in the distance and we’ve got ourselves a Season 1 finale." shiki turns around to see a man with orange goggles a long red scarf and a black insignia cloak with a yellow tracksuit "who are you how do you know my name"

the man Crouches and replies with "Jerry" golden letters appear above him that spell out jokestar before becoming super heavy and smashing into the ground He spins around rapidly, his cloak flapping like he's in a wind tunnel even though the air is still. He throws a handful of sparkling glitter he then now fully says "Don't bother checking the credits, kid! I'll give it to you for free! The name is Jerry! Jerry Jokestar! The 'J' is silent... actually, it’s not, I just thought that sounded cooler!" I think back to what my commander told me about power sources "remember shiki your art is based on frequencies all divine arts are and whenever using your power but your frequency will shoot higher than normal." shiki remembers vances words he thinks to himself "this guy his frequencies are spiking without him even using his power could he be a cursed arts user, no he couldn't be one." shiki then flatly says to "This isn't a movie, Jerry. I'm going to finish this, and I don't need a live-action commentary" Jerry smile doesn't falter but he says "alright buddy but don't forget I'll be here when you need me"

On the streets of shinjuku city

"I better activate my obsidian arms, divine art the shriven heaven" shikis arms turn pure black obsidian with obsidian spikes he finds a blocked off part of town and sees a man standing there he immediately recognizes him "HANS SILVER YOU'RE A DEAD MAN" hans turns around saying "there's no need to raise your voice I can hear you perfectly fine" shiki rushes him but in an instant flash hans is behind him shiki falls to the ground coughing up blood. "What the hell are you..." hans turns around and says "I thought you already knew the false architect hans silver" shiki makes shields appear behind hans then they explode launching hans forward as shiki stands up.

Act 3 INTRODUCTION: hans silver, hans cursed art is world alter he can raise crystal beasts that obey to his whims or he can accelerate his mind to move faster than others can see because he knows how to move but using it for to long could cause his brain to fry. He can also absorb blows by using his architectural anchoring.

Shiki tries to use his shield bash but hans using anchoring to absorb it neither can move because if the stand still until shiki pushes back harder and hans slides 5 feet back into a corner and he says "oh no looks like you've got me cornered, or do you" suddenly he snaps his finger the ground rumbling. Someone rises and looks at shiki and he staggers backwards realizing... "Hana." shiki says his eyes wide then hans says "I took the liberty of stitching her up myself" shiki looks between hana and hans but then hana speaks up and says "Bravo! 10 out of 10 for effort! 0 out of 10 for execution! You’re moving like you’re stuck in molasses, Shiki-poo. Is it the arms? They look heavy. Need a hand? I’ve got a couple of extras!" shiki says "hana is that you?"

hana looks confused then says "Hana? Hana? Who’s that? Sounds like a brand of bottled water!" she turns her head 360 degrees and then says "Oh! You mean me! Sorry, kid, the name’s been updated. New hardware, new software, same great taste!" shiki looks at her hana even more terrified and says "what did he do to you" hana turns her head sideways and says "You look like you've seen a ghost, Shiki-boy! Is it the neck? It’s the neck, isn't it? Hans did a rush job—told him I wanted 'regal,' he gave me 'sewing project.' But hey, at least I don't have to worry about a sore throat anymore! Can't feel a thing!" hans suddenly holds up his blue shield covering himself but it's to late the airs still and then BANG! Hans smashes through the shield putting a hole through shiki as he falls down bleeding out gasping for air and his final words "no uh... Hana..." as he dies his body limp hans turns to hana and says "you did well." hana looks confused and says "well? Did well on what?" hans replies "forget about it"

Act 4 lunar threshhold Our lost hero renk is sitting in a space that's not apart of the world itself he there thinking to himself he's freezing and he can't speak but can only think "how did I get in here" renk thinks to himself "my frequency it's weak but it's not balancing so it's keeping me alive just barely" renk looks around and focuses he hears the sound of his daughters "come on daddy you can do it" one says the second one says "you have to get up you just have to" ren focuses harder and taps into a third frequency it allows him to speak as he says "divine art Chrono symphony second strike" a vacuum opens as he punches and he gets sucked through it he immediately falls out on the other side he rises to see shiki dead. "shiki..." he says and then adds "aw kid I had high hopes, rest now though" he then looks at hans silver "HANS! We've got some business to discuss" hans looks at him and his eyes widen "how did you get-" hans stammers then says "regardless, how would you like to play a game"

suddenly hans makes a hand sign Hans presses the palms of both hands together as if in prayer, but then pulls them slightly apart so only the fingertips are touching. He rotates his right hand 90 degrees horizontally while keeping the left hand vertical that creates a cross axis. He interlocks his pinkies and thumbs, forming a diamond shaped "window" in the center of his palms. He looks through the diamond window at the sky and whispers the command: Domain Construction: Absolute Shadow As he makes the sign, thin, glowing silver blueprint lines erupt from the diamond window in his hands, mapping out the entire city in a grid. a liquid frequency It pours out of the grid lines like black ink, swallowing everything that doesn't meet the Mastermind's frequency requirements. Anyone with a Low Resonance which are civilians or weak fighters is simply ignored by the shadow, but the Most Capable Fighters are physically pulled into the ink, teleporting them into their designated starting zones within the Arena.
