Anyone using an office?

Anyone using an office?

I've come across this thing called "agent-office" where the agents are made into pixel workers in an office, and you can see then work through the office graphics (https://github.com/harishkotra/agent-office).

It got my attention since it's fun and intuitive, and it gives you the "head of operations" vibe a bit more clearly than just multiple CLIs or delegating to subagents.

I should really just use it before asking here, but I wanted to see if this was something people in the community actually engaged in.

If anyone uses this, is it worth the computation, and does it really help your work? Or is it just for fun?

I tweaked Vercel's agent-browser to work on Termux Hermes

I set up Hermes on Termux, and it turns out browser automation doesn't work on Termux.

I'm sure there are a number of ways to use browsers, and a lot of solutions exist out there, but I just decided to make a solution for myself.

So I patched the Rust code and created a binary file so that agent-browser works on Termux via Chromium. My Hermes has been using it with no problem, and I hope this can be an option for people running into the same problem!

I want to hear your stories about health check up tech for parents

Hi guys,

I’m working on an AI health check up service for elderly people who live alone, that don’t have other people that can check up on them every moment.

I would like to say first of all, that I have a grandfather who lives alone, that me nor my parents can check up on at every moment. We have motion sensors set up in case of emergencies, and emergency buttons in all rooms that he can press, but I personally believe that this isn't enough.

I know my situation may be somewhat different since he's my grandfather not father, and I know this is a very sensitive, personal matter, so you can tell me to go somewhere else. But I really believe that we need something that may help our families, that deserve better care, and I would very much appreciate it if you guys could share your stories.

I was wondering if you guys could tell us about the biggest problems that you ran into regarding these "isolation" situations.

Were there situations where care could have arrived earlier, or situations where you felt that check-ups need to be better? Any type of story or problem that you've ran into will be very appreciated. We're trying to figure out where the real problem lies, not just in "better care", but for specific points that we need to put our attentions to.

I’m not selling anything, just trying to learn and make a better product for our parents and grandparents.

Thank you for reading, and I genuinely hope the best for everyone here.

Do you actually use Kanban/Profiles?

I'm slowly thinking about using the Kanban feature and creating profiles according to my subagent-delegation patterns.

Since I do a lot of academic research, I thought it would be somewhat better for me to move on to using Kanban instead of delegate_tasks.

But I'm struggling to find the "optimization point" of Kanban over just delegate_tasks.

Here's what I think after a little bit of research.

Kanban: It uses profiles to create and use different agents, the agents work simultaneously and are in sync throughout the work, and keeps proof of work. <=> Bit complex initial setup.

delegate_tasks: Same profile, no proof of work unless there are explicit instructions. <=> Simple.

So in this pov, Kanban has two strengths: 1) Differently profiled agents, and 2) Proof of work.

But 2 is solvable. So the only question remaining is: "Does profiling the agents really show different performance?"

So the real question becomes: Does actually giving an agent a different personality change its performance for a specific task?

Visiting BC (UBC Area), where should I go?

Hi guys,

I'm a Korean university student, visiting UBC for 2 weeks in August.

We'll probably be staying inside the UBC campus area, and from what I've seen on Google Maps, the place is huge, so I don't think we'll be able to go somewhere too far.

If anyone living or know a lot about the area, I would very much appreciate it if you could give us recommendations on where to visit, where to eat, what to eat, etc 😄.

Looking forward to be there! Thank you in advance :)

API Rate Limit running out way too quickly with Gemma 4 free

So, I've recently set up Hermes on an Azure VM, and I'm using OpenRouter for model API. I wanted the whole thing to be free of cost, so I first started using Owl Alpha, which I felt just didn't really click with me in terms of conversation quality, speed, and certain buzz around what the model actually is.

So I switched the model to Gemma 4 31B free, and now after about three conversations (which included calling subagents), it hits a 429 Rate Limit error. This didn't happen with Owl Alpha and I'm pretty sure I've waited long enough for the rate to reset.

Could it be that calling subagents are just very token consuming? Or Gemma 4 is really that heavy?

Anyone ever run into similar problems?

European or American?

To any grad students who are studying in European or American schools (preferably CS or STEM majors), if you could choose over again, which school would you go to, European or American and why?
