Cheap Chinese Amplifier watts (298bt)
This is for those wondering about the watts handled on a 298bt sunbuck amplifier, mine is actually an lzd, must be the southeast Asian rebrand. Have 2x 60w speakers 2x25w and a 100w 1977 lod speaker. I tried running the 100w through the center and it didn't like it. The main left and right are stronger. The new configuration is nuts
SR- 25w Panasonic
SL- 25w Panasonic
L - 60w Panasonic
R - 100w lod HS 400
Centre 60w Panasonic
Obviously it's not great but the centre will not run 100w well. I suspect the centre, surround left and right are continuous 15w-20w and the main left and right 40w-50w with some shared power loads within those groups. I don't go above 85db because I am in an apartment but somehow they all work with this mismatch of watts and ohms. I don't have the most refined hearing but they all sound fine in this configuration. My ears haven't noticed a huge difference in left and right even though it should because the LOD is quite different from the sound of the Panasonics. If you aren't pushing the speakers this is a great amplifier, I was planning on upgrading later, but honestly I love sound is crisp and accurate, Bluetooth works well has equaliser settings and bass treble nobs. Even the volumes all match which I was not expecting with this mad array of speaker ohms and watts
