I have a Gen2 Checkpoint SL6. I'm thinking of upgrading from the stock wheels to some Zipp 303 XPLRs (or perhaps Fulcrum Sharqs, haven't decided yet, but leaning towards the Zipps).

I understand I can run 50mm tires on a Gen2 Checkpoint, but what is the tire clearance like; especially when mounting them on a wide rim like the Zipps? The trails around here are mainly fine gravel. Should I play it safe and get 45mm tires instead?

Can I run the Zipps with a tube should I get a flat, or are they strictly tubeless?

Also, I don't know much about hookless rims, but I take it I will need to mount them with hookless specific tires like those on Zipp's recommended tire list? I won't be able to use the stock Bontrager tires that came with the bike until they wear out?

I own an old pair of Assos Mille GT S7 bib shorts, size XXXL (or TIR to use Assos' sizing).

They are probably my best fitting shorts, with the legs just the right length.

I'm in the market for a new pair and I'm considering the Mille GTS S11 bibs. I notice they come in standard and long versions now. How much has the inseam length changed since the S7's? Would an S11 standard fit the same as the equivalent sized S7? Or should I go up to the long version in an S11?

I'm 6'2", 220lbs; with a long torso and a 34" inseam. I'm certain I'll take an XXXL size, but I'm unsure of the standard version or long version.
