Kept seeing OUAR on Instagram and decided to give them a try. Love the fit and it feels really nice
Did a post a couple weeks ago and most people felt price was the biggest factor for jerseys and the insane markups
Trying to come up with something affordable and stylish but what designs are people interested ? Retro vintage, minimalist, quiet, loud patterns…
Hello,
I like the Bioracer brand for its value for money. They offer two jersey fits: "Icon" for a comfort fit and "Epic" for a race fit. I’m looking at the Icon jerseys (it always comes down to price...). I already own an Icon jersey in size S, but sometimes there are creases that leave me unsure about the fit.
I currently have the jersey in both S and XS and want to keep just one.
I’ve attached photos of both sizes—standing and in a riding position—as well as a photo of my current Icon jersey (in a different color) while actually riding.
In terms of feel, the S is fine. The XS is quite tight. I don't mind tight clothing—in fact, I prefer it—but I’m not sure if this is *too* tight. I do have to pull the sides quite hard to close the zipper.
I’d appreciate your opinion and any questions I should ask myself to help make the right choice.
I am 179 cm tall and weigh 71 kg; the Icon is their comfort fit (so, less fitted).
The size guide recommends a size S.
It was the bike that got negative reactions i think, now a real mtb 🔥
Seems like with new chamois I'm buying, when I stand up out of the saddle the chamois creases down the middle and gives me a wedgie. Got this with Q36.5& assos. Rapha used to work great for me, but seems like they updated their bibs and now they're giving me wedgies too.
Has anyone else that has dealt with this recommend any brands?
I returned recently from vacation in Europe and during a day trip from Geneva we went to Annecy. I rented a bike there and did a short ride along the lake shore - about 15 km. It was brutally hot. While riding I saw many people wearing bibshorts that had Annecy printed on them. I didn't have time to look for shops and it was Sunday anyway. So my question is, does anybody know where one can get bibshorts that say Annecy? It was so beautiful there and it would be a nice reminder of my first bike ride in Europe. At this point it would have to be a store with a web presence, but I thought I would try.
Does anyone have any info? Does it replace the Valegro as their best-ventilated model?
Does anyone else have issues with jersey sizing and sleeve length?
I’ve recently tried Pissei (Magistrale) and Gobik (Carrera 3.0)—both in size M. Generally, everything fits fine, except the sleeves extend past the elbow. However, a size S would likely be too small. The only ones that have worked well for me so far are Assos Equipe/Mille jerseys, but I’d like to try another brand.
Any suggestions or experiences?
I'm looking for an individual/company to work alongside me to create some kit for an upcoming cycling team.
I have logos, and ideas for a design, I'm just not very good at using Adobe Illustrator.
However, the catch is that I'll be taking that kit design to a company to get made.
So, I won't be working with the likes of Pedal Mafia etc etc.
Who have you used in the past that you can recommend?
I have a black abus Gamechanger that is a great helmet but am looking to move to a white helmet with better ventilation for the summer time. Found a great deal on a Bell Falcon XR so I thought I'd give it a shot. Before I cut the tags I wanted a check on how it looks. I don't see a lot of these helmets on here (nor anywhere else) but I love the features (fidlock, MIPS, fit) and the price, and it feels like it ventilates well just walking around the house.
I saw this brand on Instagram: https://hypersupp.com
The designs are generally chill and the prices are not outrageous so I gave it a shot.
I ordered the Motion Jersey for $136: https://hypersupp.com/products/mens-motion-supp-jersey-dark-green
And the performance bibs for $179: https://hypersupp.com/products/mens-supp-bib-shorts-gray
My measurements are close to those of the model (although that dude definitely has a lower body fat %) so I initially ordered a size M in both, but before shipping the company emailed me and recommended I size up the bibs to an L (they were right).
I’m not posting pics, as that has gotten weird in the past, so I’ll just say that the pics on the website look accurate, except that you should size up the bibs unless you have like 8% body fat like the model.
So, M jersey and L bibs arrived yesterday and I rode about 40mi in 90+ degree heat.
For the design and branding. I like simple designs - usually solid colors. I don’t mind bold branding but I DO NOT like corny stuff (for example SYN’s “global race team” thing) or this recent trend of the jerseys just having random phrases plastered all over. “hyper supply” and the shortened “SUPP” is OK for me, and it’s not a brand I see often on the road here in NYC.
That said, some of their jerseys have “URT” (“unsponsored race team”) branding which IMO is corny.
The fabrics I would characterize as pretty standard, nothing especially interesting or exotic like I’ve seen with higher-priced stuff from MAAP or Attaquer. Like this is good race jersey tech but nothing *new* or high-tech.
The bibs are thin material with limited stretch, no gripper, and a pretty decent chamois. I do like the texture of the bibs and the shoulder straps. Even the L was pretty tight, so I think definitely size up. Logos….I’m a little worried about whether they’ll last without cracking or peeling,
The jersey is, again, pretty basic fabric with dye-sub printing that isn’t razor sharp. The highlight is that it is VERY race cut - like even shorter in the front than my Pedal Mafia Pro jersey. When standing, much of the bibs will show, but on the bike it was perfect.
I might end up getting another simple jersey (maybe the black one) from them.
Overall, I think this kit is worth the price (but no more).
Universal Colors bibs yay or nay?
Looking buying the Attaquer All Day Cargo Bib Short Black. They recommend a medium size. When I did the sizing on Assos, they also said Medium. I ended up having to get large. Ordered a set of Maap bibs and they recommended Small, but I went with medium but had to send those back as the area around the thigh is a bit tight. Before I order those in a large, I came across the Attaquer all day cargo, I like the idea of these because they have a cargo and two pockets on the back of the bib. Allows me to wear a loose tee on days I don't want to wear a full kit. Anyone own a pair and can share their experience on sizing? They also recommended the XL Merino Tech Crop on their site, but I normally wear a med/Lrg size. Any help would be great.
Thank you
Commuter style helmets are supposed to look better for commuters by being less "sporty" or sticking out too much, but I find that they're really bulky and make your head look super mushroom-y. The sporty style aerodynamic ones are more suited for a casual commuter look because they have a smaller profile and blend more into your natural silhouette.
Anyone agree or am I completely wrong?
(made this post because I was looking at the Thousand Heritage, and it looks so cute in all the pictures by itself, but when someone is actually wearing it... a bit dorky)
Can anyone confirm the authenticity of this pas normal studios mechanism pro origami jersey? Thank you. I bet it off of eBay from a seller that gets great reviews. This jersey is thin! I thought the material would be thicker for as much as they charge.
Introduced some (vintage!) Rapha into the mix for the summer. The oil slick is 👌 I’m a sucker for a collab - Rapha x Yinka Lori (changing room pic, so bibs look weird cus I’ve got pants on!)
Can do double duty? Has anyone used them instead of sunscreen?
